I'm a little over 5 weeks pregnant and this is my first child and I'm only 21 and I'm having some cramping pains, they feel like I'm about to start my period, is this normal?? Also, every once and a while I get a sharp pain in the same area as my cramps (not at the same time), but the sharp pains are not on just one side, is this normal to??

Don't panic, cramping and sharp pain can be common in early pregnancy. As long as the pain isn't severe and comes along with bleeding. I have also worried about that and even told my OB but she didn't seemed alarmed by it. I still have a healthy little one with a strong hearbeat. I still get those sharp pains and cramping but I think its just your body adjusting.

i get cramping all the time starting at week 4 and im 18weeks now, it was at its worst from week 4-week6
