CODIENE DURING PREGNANCY

has anyone been prescribed codiene or oxycodone (percocet) during prenancy..(need to put my mind at ease)

I just googled those drugs and it says that they are safe but they are a a___lgesic narctoic (so can be addicting), if there was any other drug you could use I would. though your dr knows more about those drugs than I would and you should google them yourself and read what is said about them.

hey, just wanted to let you know that i got really sick my last pregnancy, needed 2 surgeries, and all the while my docs had me on pain meds, codeine, morphine, demerol. i was horribly scared about the baby's health, but in the end, everything turned out all right. they say they weigh the benefits versus the risks, so if you need the drugs to manage your pain and you have no choice...you have no choice. the baby needs a mommy who's pain is under control ! good luck!

I am 36+ weeks pregnent and was given codein by my doctor i have had no problems with it. First time i took it made me a little woozie, also can make you constipated Hope that's some help
