Damamge Caused By Acid Reflux

Hi when my sister was pg with her first baby she had acid reflux so bad that it caused throat damage"according to 2 different throat specialist"And ever since her throat is always hurting her.She says it burns all the time and is always very sore.She has taken alot of different medications and still has gotten no releif.Im curious if this happened to any of you?She drives me nuts about it.She is scared she has throat cancer even though 2 different drs told her the same thing.I need to find some words of wisdom for her.Thanks.

I am 33 weeks. At 31 weeks woke up hardly able to breathe--gasped for air for awhile and then I could finally breathe again. I was taken to the hospital by ambulance. The doctor said I had reflux (GERD). My throat was very hoarse for two days. I do not have any advice but, I totally feel for her. I hope she is able to get some relief.

My doctor put me on Nexium. I couldn't sleep at night the burning was so bad. That really helps and I take tums or rolaids in my purse.
