I am currently 20 weeks pregnant and was feeling great, other than the occasional cramp in my legs and constant hunger. I woke up this morning with a pain shooting up the left side of my abdomin. From the left side of my bladder, to the back of my hip bone and up to my lower left rib. The pain only last for almost an hour but now I am having minor ligament cramps near my bladder. Has anyone experienced this? If so, what exactly is it? I spoke to my husband and he doesnt think its anything serious but I am still a little worried.

you have round ligaments that run along both your sides and are attached to your uterus. Your baby is growing and moving around in there and starting to put strain on those ligaments, which is stretching them. I wouldnt worry about it, unless you bring it up to your doctor and shell explain it to you more. But trust me girl its not going to go away any time soon. The baby is going to start growing even more in a couple months and your probably going to feel it more then.

I've had sharp shooting pains in many places throughout this pregnancy! The only thing I would say is that if you are having any symptoms of a urinary tract infection (frequent urination, feeling like you aren 't able to completely empty your bladder, pain upon urination, etc) the pains you are feeling could be bc of a kidney infection - which you need to see your doc about asap! If not, I would say it's normal! Good luck!
