I'm 38 weeks, the whole of this pregnancy I've been vomiting from time to time and getting heartburn, but I've now got to the stage where the heartburn is so bad that no anti-acids help and about 2-3 hours after I eat anything I'm in so much pain until I vomit everything up. This evening at the end of vomiting I noticed a bit of red, I haven't eaten anything red today and am worried that it might have been blood, I feel the baby moving as usual. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Should I go to the hospital to get checked?

I would say see a specialist, but your 38 weeks and it is likely just the pregnancy that is causing the severe acid reflux. When you have the baby it should subside. But since you saw blood call your OB, or one of the nurses and ask them if you should go to the hospital first. I know how expensive hospitals can be!

I know you said that no anti-acids are working, but have they put you on a perscription. I am on Prevacid, you can also take Prilosec. I don't get heartburn if I take my Prevacid, but if I forget it I will have heartburn early in the morning before I even eat breakfast. These days I have started throwing up at night, but it is acid coming up. I am 34wks now.
