I am about 7 and a half months pregnant and since my first trimester I have been getting leg cramps in my calves. It seem to only happen when I am sleeping. It feels like someone put a golf ball between my calve muscle and the bone. When trying to stretch out by flexing your toes it only seems to get worse. I spoke to my mom about this and she used to get them when she was pregnant. Is this common? The only relief I have found that seems to work is pulling on your big toe. Now that my bellys in the way I have to wake up my husband to do it. This is the only way I get relief. If any of you are dealing with this how do you relieve the pain?

it's normal--point your toes toward your belly, that's the only thing that helps. Some people recommend eating bananas for pota__sium as a way of stopping it--as well as drinking milk, for the calcium.

I had that happen for the first time I am 26 weeks and I only went away when I pointed my toes up toward my belly. It was very painful and I read that it is just from the extra weight.
