Is it normal for my doctor not to measure my belly on my visits every month?? I am 17 weeks and it is my first baby. and I found out I was pregnant on the 12th week. so all they ever do on my visits is check my weight, check my urine and the babies heart beat. What should be a regular check up? and what concerns should I have??

Your doctor may not want to check your fundas height until you are 20 weeks..... up until then it can't be used as a guide to proper growth..... weight, urine and heartbeat are all part of normal check up and evaluation things they will do....

My doc has never measured my belly either... I just figured that it wasn't super accurate. I did'nt mind, though, because at the beginning of my pregnancy I didn't want anyone poking around too hard anyway... I was so nervous.
