I am in my seventh week and while I don't actually vomit the nausea keeps me from going near a lot of different smells. My partner is a coffee drinker and just going near his mouth brings on the gagging... anyone else get this? Even if he hasn't had coffee, I am reluctant to kiss him at the moment for fear of the smell... and this is weird for me, cause we normally kiss lots!! Please let me know I am not alone!

Trish, I experienced the same problem! My hubby loves to smoke pipe tobacco, and I've finally convinced him that he can only do that outside. But even the smell still bothers me. Don't be afraid to tell him that it bothers you. My hubby realized that I had a lot of fears during my first few weeks and he told me to be honest. My first 8 weeks were terrible, he was allowed to kiss me, anywhere BUT on the lips...Because I can smell the tobacco. So when he wanted kisses, and I didn't think I'd be able to handle it, I'd ask him to brush his teeth or use mouth wash. Even if he's been smoking at work, I can smell it on his clothes... It's very normal I think. If you can, buy a can of room neutralizer, like Oust. Use that when there are smells out you can't stand (I used it in our bathrooms, around the garbage cans, and around his shoes, as well as the front door after he had been smoking). Another suggestion is to buy a small air filtration system that you can easily move from room to room. I found myself airing out rooms alot by opening windows. My nausea was terrible too, but it does get better. Good Luck!
