I have this constant need to pee and never do. I can just sit on the toliet for an hour because there is so much discomfort and I think if I can pee it will just go away. I just went to the doctors and they tested my urine and it is not infected at all. I am only five weeks pregnant and very new at this. Is this normal??? What should I do???

from what i hear it is your hormones...if it is not an infection then that is probably what it is....

The same thing happend to me, but mine actually was a urinary tract infection.... it got so bad there was blood in my urine. Are you sure their was no bacteria in your urine??

Jamie - November 28

I had the same thing early in pregnancy but it wasn't a UTI. It probably is your hormones.

I had the same feelings. Mine turned out to be a mild case of bacterial vaginosis.

Could be anything. Vaginitis, kidney infection, STD. You need to talk to your doctor. Hopefully you have if this post was in November....lol.

I just go back from the doctor with the same problem. I'm 14 weeks and the baby is resting directly on top of my bladder. No UTI no bladder infection. The doc says that this could last my entire pregnancy. You've got to be kidding me. Pray it's just hormones.

I had the same thing in my first pregnancy. Drink A LOT of water and take herbal cranberry pills. My dr. suggested AZO or something like that. I know how you feel though, if I don't drink enough water, I get so much pain going to the bathroom that it's unbearable. I'm pregnant again so it's happening all over again. Good luck!!

I just found this website and saw this posting. I am in my 28th week of pregnancy andhad the same thing you are describing around 14 weeks along. SInce then my bladder has many days where it feels irrtated, like an infection, but it never is. How are you doing? Did your symptoms go away? Have you had your baby, or if not, how far along are you? I am sort of wondering what to expect! This is awful!
