I just got back from my doctors appointment (i'm 40 weeks today)
The doctor did a pelvic exam and without telling me she was going to do it, stripped my membranes. Holy h__l did it ever hurt! I nearly crawled up the table.
She said she had to do it since she is going to induce me on Monday and my cervix was still really high up.
But my goodness..the pain was unbelievable. Has anyone else experience this? Did it work for starting labour??

Does it hurt that bad for everyone and what exactly does it feel like? My doctor is going to do it to me by my 38th week if I'm not close to going into labor. I am 36 weeks today.
