Denice E. - April 14

I'm very confused right now... I have taken a pregnancy test and it came back positive. Lately I've been having slight back pain and a lot of gas.... it this normal??? Plus I was taking a ovulation test so that I would get pregnant. per the 1st day of my last cycle it was on the 14th on March, but I was ovulating on the 6th of April. could I have been pregnant sooner or do i go by the calender of the 14th?

Hi - April 14

Is there some reason why you must know exactly when you conceived? If not just be happy that you are.

Denice, slight back pain and gas is VERY normal. If you search pregnancy info.net there is a page that shows you how to calculate your due date. Gas is normal, however do a bit of research about the medications you can use to get rid of it. I use gingerale to help me burp and that usually helps. Good luck with your pregnancy!

I also used an ovulation test to conceive. How far along you are is calculated by the first date of your last period, not the exact day you ovulated. Back pain and gas is definitely normal. Your doctor will calculate your due date for you, based on the first day of your last period and they usually follow it up with the ultrasound.
