Postpartum Anal Area Pain

I have also posted this on the postpartum forum... I gave natural birth 6 weeks ago and had an episiotomy. I have been having this peristent pain ever since. It is hard to describe... SORRyY for TOO much info... the pain exists between my butt crease and hole. I especially feel the pain when I attempt to get into sitting position. While sitting on the toilet, the pain travels towards my va___a. Its really weird. I am not bleeding nor do I have any bumps and the st_tches seem to have healed well, thererfore, I am ruling out hemmoroids (spelling). What could this possibly be? Just mere pain from pushing? Has anyone experienced anything like this? It is bearable but something I have never felt before.

It is very possible to bruise your tail bone during pushing. I have even heard of people that have fractured it during child birth. Have you asked your doctor?

That is exactly what my doctor said. Even now the pain is positional, she said to give it a few weeks, if it dosnt go away I may want to consider OT, however, I have noticed a significant improvement -- 7 weeks into it now. Thanks!
