All of my life (I am 33) I have been terrified to get pregnant, morning sickness being the ultimate reason followed closely by the lack of control a mother has during the pregnancy, being at the mercy of hormones and nature. But lets say I can get through the morning sickness ( i have read alot of good advice here ), my next biggest fear is this, I'm little, really thin, im 5'3" 95 lbs and always have been. I'm perfectly normal in every way, my dr tells me I'm his only patient that wants to gain weight. I have forced him to send me to nutritionists to no avail, I just dont gain weight. My ob says pregnancy will do that for me (from her lips to gods ears!) but I am afraid that the weight and pressure of the baby in my abdomen will be too great. As it is, because my abdomen is so thin I can't tolerate much pressure on it, even from my own hands. Is the expansion of the pregnancy slow enough that discomfort is kept at a minimum or is there a distinct possiblity that I would be extremely uncomfortable from beginning to end? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks, Jenn

a__suming you have healthy eating habits, I don't see why you can't have a baby. Plenty of tiny women have babies, and even give birth v____ally. Your hips begin spreading from the beginning so that you can carry the baby. The baby grows so slowly that you really don't even get a bump for several months. My mother was very, very thin when she got pregnant with me. Then she went on to have twins! So, unless you have something abnormal going on in your body, chances are, you'll be fine.
