my prenatal cla__s the instructor said there were a couple positions to relieve backpain and pressure on the tailbone. One was to squat, which opens up the pelvis and helps the baby get in a better position (especially at the end of the preg, to avoid back labor). the other was to lean forward on something and let your belly hang down, and rock back and forth a bit to take pressure off your back and help shift the baby if he's in a bad position. I have tried these and they seem to help. Also, I lie on my back, propper up a bit, and put a pillow under my tailbone and this counterpressure really helps. I hope you find something that works.
