I'm just starting my 10th week of pregnancy and the last few days have just noticed a dull (but persistant) pain in my lower back. It woke me up last night and has really been bothering me today. I know that back pain is normal in pregnancy, but this is my first and I'm not sure if it's normal for the first trimester? I'm a little worried that it might be a sign of a UTI, because I've had pretty bad nausea and vomiting so I haven't been getting as many fluids as I should.. any help or advice would be great!

I am 19 weeks and i had horrible lower back pain in my first trimester i spent most of the day with a heating pad on my back for about 3 weeks...tylenol rapid release was my best friend...dont be afraid to take it...it has gone away but i'm sure it will be returning in the 3rd trimester along with tons of other aches and pains...good luck hun!

Lindsay, You are music to my ears!!! I am 6 weeks along and terrified. My backache has been bad. It's in my lower back and hasn't gone away for 7 days. It sometimes even moves to my hips. I spend the majority of my day on a heating pad. My doctor seems completely stumped. The only thing she can think of or bring up is miscarriage. Is the pain I'm feeling different from miscarriage backpain????
