I was 12 weeks pregnant and started having brown discharge during Thanksgiving. I heard it was normal in some case and so I didn't let it worry me too much, especially since I was searching every subject on the internet and people seemed to be optimistic about it. Well Monday I called my doctor and mind you I didn't have very much discharge at all, mainly when I went to the bathroom and wiped. The doctor took me in right away and examined me and said that it was old blood and that the cervix was closed and there was no new blood present which was a good sign. She listened for a heartbeat and there was none, but she had said that sometimes you aren't able to hear it until 14 weeks. I think that is a load of c___p. She sent me in for an emergency sonogram and the next day they called and said that the baby had died at about 8 weeks. Yesterday I went in for a D&C and now everything is taken care of. Im am naturally sad. I never thought that it would happen to me. I have two healthy children that Im very grateful to have. So to all you ladies out there. Don't take this lightly, I don't want to scare anyone, but I would say if you are having any brown discharge or cramping at any time, make sure you call your doctor immediately. Bree, similar thing happened to me, i was 16 weeks pregnant in May & had brown discharge, saw doc, cervix looked good but no heartbeat. Went for u/s immediately and found baby had died at 13 weeks. Was devastated. I'm now 12 weeks pregnant & again started getting brown discharge. Even after reading other posts about it being normal, with what has already happened, I'm not reasurred. I'm terrified. I have an ultrasound scheduled for Monday, so wish me luck

Tina, Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I hope that everything is okay with this new pregnancy. It certainly is the hardest thing I have ever had to go through and Im devastated. I keep thinking of things that I may have done wrong, but my husband a__sures me that it was nothing I did. How long did it take before you got pregnant again. I don't know if I want to try again, because I am afraid of it happening again. Good luck to you, I hope that everything is fine at your ultrasound. Easier said than done. You'll be stressed out until your appointment. Let me know what the outcome is but my fingers are crossed for you.

im 10 weeks pregnant. this is my fourth child ive had some brown discharge is that normal? i had an eptopic in march and lost my right tube. so i really want this baby.

nina, I would definately call your doctor asap, that is what happened to me and unfortunately i had a miscarriage at 12 weeks. Hope everything turns out okay

I have a brown discharge just today and I'm only 8 weeks. I've only had it a few times today but it looks like mucus. Can anyone tell me if this is normal or should I be worried.

Hi, I'm 7 weeks pregnant and from the past 3 days i'm seeing this brown discharge. I was experiencing slight abdominal pain which is very light and intermittent. Though this discharge is not continous, i see this happening once in a day. This is viscous in nature. I spoke to the doctor about this and he told me that it is normal till 14 weeks. I've not undergone a scan. Still I'm worried. Should I get a scan done to confirm everything or should I wait till the 9th week to get the scan done. ANswers will certainly relieve me. Many Thanks

i am due for my period any day now but have bn having very light brown spotting for over a week now along with nausea,mood swings,tiredness,slight headaches and diziness and other symptoms.what cud this brown spotting be? its only tiny bits and doesnt look like blood.would implantation last this long? or if i dont get my period cud this be my period really light(just a few spots a day) and that mean i might be pregnant?

Hi, I am only 13 years old. On the 7th I started having a little bit of spoting. On the 8 and 9 I was spotting very little and having brown discharge (Only when I wipe). My Cycle is due for the 11th.
