hi parker. brown blood is "old blood" so its probably normal. it could be from recent intercourse or even an exam if you had one. if it worries you just phone your ob/gyn for rea__surance. i wouldn't worry about it unless it turned really red, than i would call right away. hope this helps~best wishes and Godbless~

I am 8 weeks pregnant, and I have had brown discharge off and on for a few weeks. At 7 weeks I had an ultrasound and there was a heartbeat! I read on another site that a woman was experiencing symptoms similiar to mine and found out she had a v____al infection that caused her to bleed a little. I have found out the same is true with me. So you might have some sort of an infection. Ask your doctor to test you for this. Just wanted to ease some of your concerns.

Hiya, 5 days after finding out I was pregnant I had a pinky discharge... paniced like hell then talked to my midwife who sid in some cases this is normal but if you are stil worried to wait 3 days then do another test to put your mind at rest.... I did the test 3 days later and my two pink lines were there :o) then on Sunday gone I had a mucky brown discharge but it only lasted a day (think it was the last of the gunk to come away) and now I am back to normal coloured stuff...... I know how worrying it is as have just gone through it but if you follow what my m/w said and as long as it isn't red and with cramping you should be fine :o) take care xx

This is the best website. I searched several other web pages to the answer about brown discharge and could not find very much. I was just sure that something was wrong, I am 7 weeks and for about 4 days I have had brown discharge, luckily no bleeding. I called my ob/gyn and they didn't really make me feel much better about it just told me to watch for heavy cramps and bleeding.

Hi, Ive been having brown discharge too! For the past 4days. Its only light brown sometimes there is none. This has happened to me twice within the past 5months. I've had my period and been to the doctors to check. She said its nothing to worry about as im still young (22) and my pap smear and pelvic ultrasound came back normal. So she blames it on STRESS in my life. I couldn't be pregnant right? I havent had unprotected s_x.. withdrawal method once in may. PLEASE HELP? Im realy worried.. should i go back to see her?

hi angie. its very scary when you dont know what's going on, but take a deep breath and maybe i can help ease your mind a bit. first, if you bled on your normal cycle for 2 days before you started the dark discharge/blood, its probably just a normal, yet short, period. ovulation usually happens around 14 days or so from the first day of your last period. if you were on birth control and were just doubling up with a condom, i would think you were ok. if you continue to have severe cramping or heavy bleeding you probably should see your doctor just to rule out anything. stress can do wonders to the human body, so please try an relax and i wish you all the best! oh my gosh..thank you, so you think it is a good possibility that i am not pregnant. it has just been freakin me out lately...I can't sleep at night..this is the last day of my period and starting back on the real pill tonight..i just hope not..i have been praying about 6 times a day..i am only 17! I am to young to be a mom..i really am..i cant afford it..my boyfriend is scared to but he is trying to calm me down and what not. i am nearly 2 weeks over due from my period and lately i have had a brown discharge (for a few days) this morning a little blood came through. I am trying for a baby. Could i be pregnant?

I am 8 weeks pregnant. i have been having brown spotting from week 5. In the beginning it was quite heavy but then with progestrone treatment, it abated. The discharge has not gone completely. Somtimes it's there for a day and then not there for about five days. I am very scared. I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks last year. My doctor tells me not to worry so long as there is no bright red blood and abdominal cramps. Also, we heard a strong and healthy fetal heart beat at my last ultra sound. I am scheduled for my next ultra sound on the 14th. Today morning, I had a slightly heavy episode of brown discharge. I am scared stif and unable to relax. Can someone out there give me some rea__suarance? Has anyone experienced this at 8 weeks and still had a healthy baby?

I am 10 weeks pregnant and have had spotting and brown discharge off and on since I was 6 weeks. I too had a miscarriage at 5 weeks last October, so it is complete agony every time I go to the bathroom. However, I have had 2 ultra sounds, one at 6 weeks and one at 7 weeks and a strong heartbeat was detected at both. The doctor said I had a low-lying placenta which may be a cause for the spotting. Over the past week and a half I have had an increase in brown discharge, so I went back to the doctor and we were able to hear the heartbeat with the doppler thing at 9 weeks and 5 days. The doctor keeps telling me not to worry, that I may just be one of the ones who bleeds throughout pregnancy. She has told me just to ignore the spotting now unless it becomes red or I have bad cramping. It seems as if we're in the same boat. I think everything will be ok this time though as I have had the spotting/discharge for four weeks now but have seen/heard the heartbeat 3 times during those four weeks. I'm sure you will be fine too!

can some1 help me out here... ive been having pregnancy symptoms 4 the past 2 or 3weeks now and my period was a week late and wen i got it it wasnt like wat it normally is this time it was like brite red and very liquidy.... could i be pregnant? my fiance his friend and his friends wife who has a kid and is pregnant with her second all say i am but im not 2 sure... i took an online pregnancy test and it said theres a 26% chance that i am.. can some1 help me out please. me and my fiance really want a baby

i am 6 weeks pregnant and have been having brown discharge. i went to the er terrified i might be having a mscrg. hcg level was done and came back normal ultrasound was also done and to abnormalities there although no heartbeat yet er doc did state this can be normal and abnormal i need to see my og/gyn asap. i do have an appt with my ob/gyn in 1wk and hoping to hear a heartbeat then. i am currently still exp light brown dc with occ mild cramping, very sore b___st, exp morining sickness, and feel very tired, and queasy. i hope these are all still good signs.
