How can your hospital not offer epidurals? That seems really strange to me!!! I am on my first, and will DEFINITELY get one, I would pick a different hospital if they told me they didn't have them!!!!

I couldnt go on without an epidural, it was way too painful for me. It was hard for me to sit still( i was trying really hard) for the epidural i was in suck pain, it too them almost 10 mins to finally get it done. My friend ( a girl i met in prenatel cla__s) said that it was heaven for her to sit in the tub, it was really relaxing. I think she said she sat in there for 3 hours (time went by so fast) and she had the baby pretty quick. I was NOT planned to have any medicine, When the time comes you might want anything to get rid of the pain, just hope your contractions arnt that bad, so you can function, and think about pushing. I was so tired, couldnt sleep from them, after i got my epidural it was such a life saver. I had a nice nap and i was ready to go.

I am prego with my second and I plan on doing the epidural again. I had two pains and then nothing...I even slept thorugh my labor..it was great. I woke up and pushed for 30 minutes and he came! I didnt feel a thing for hours aftterwards. The only thing that was annoying was that you dont feel your contractions so someone has to tell you to push while reading the monitor and your legs are basically jelly.

my mom had an epidural with me and all natural with my sister. she said the natural birth was much better and she is not one of these people who want to be all natural and see her birth and stuff, she wouldn't even hold us til they cleaned us off ha. she just said she didn't like having to lay there hours after birth and with the natural she could get up and move around. Of course she also had just an hour of labor so I guess it depends on how fast your moving, if she had to lay there 12 hours I'm sure she wouldn't had loved it so much ha
