Thank god it's normal! Mine sometimes feel like period pains and sometimes like very bad trapped wind (Sorry) I'm only 7 weeks so we will see! I see the midwive in 3 more weeks (God it's dragging)

in the 3rd tri, i started getting this cramp like pain, almost like a trapped nerve electric shock kind of pain. i mean really BAD. now im 40 weeks and 2 days. sometimes its so bad i just cry. the ob says its probably the babys head jammed up against a nerve. i hope it all goes away after the birth. it has really crippled me this last 2 weeks.

Wow Sarah -- you're so close and still on the computer! Your nerve pain sounds awful -- good luck with everything and here's to a smooth birth and a healthy baby. It does sound like a pinched nerve with that shooting/electric pain. Let's hope it clears up immediately. Isn't Mother Nature mean?! My pain has eased up heaps (long may it last!). I think regular horizontal stints and the donut cushion at work have really helped. Enjoy your baby and not being pregnant anymore!

I am 7 weeks along. This is my 7th pregnancy, I've had 4 miscarriages and 3 beautiful kids! I too have had horrific pain on both sides off and on, enough to wake me up in the middle of the night. I was very concerned at first but thinking back, I had this same thing happen with 2 of my full term pregnancies! My doctor said I was fine this time, as I was with my others.

AF is "Aunt Fern" - commonly known as your period. I am about 4-5 weeks and I have pulling/cramping sensations in my lower tummy. I don't think you can gauge the sensation in terms of weeks. I think it may have to do more with the size of woman and the type of shape she's in. I am very tiny. Only weigh about 100 pounds and I'm 36 years old. I think I feel it earlier because I'm little.

I am 9 wks prgnt and too have been having some pretty bad pains. Had mild cramps nonstop and now left lower- middle abdominal side sharp pains off and on.Could it be something more severe?

I'm 5weeks pregnant and have had cramps and pains, I have been advised that it is just my body stretching and getting ready - hope this helps

Hi, I haven't confirmed my pregnancy yet but I am 2 weeks late, having several symptoms and had a negative test. Just today I started getting the pain in my groin when I sit down or stand for too long, in my first pregnancy I thought I was suffering from a cyst which I get often but I guess it could have been ligaments, anyway here I am rambling, I'm glad I found this forum because I was beginning to think I might have been having a miscarriage but I'll test again soon and hope things go ok. Thank you all for giving me some hope :)

Hi everybody -- just a follow up reply as promised: my pelvic pain turned out to be varicose veins but they're INTERNAL! So the pressure is v____al & around the exterior genital area. It's very uncomfortable at times and my doctor said not much can be done except regular horizontal stints to ease the pressure. I may try one of those maternity belts soon as well. im not pregnant but im 2 months late and i have really bad pains and my tummy keeps swelling up do you think i could be pregnant im too scared to take test. please help

Charlene, don't keep your head in the sand. A pregnancy test is only $5 or less from the drug store and you know in minutes. You need to know either way -- if you are pregnant, you'll need to start taking good care of yourself and make some important decisions. If not, you need to see your doctor to figure out why. I am 14 weeks and I am having really bad stomach pains... Kind of like cramps but I'm not sure that's what it is. I feel like I have gas because I seem to be burping alot which I never used to do. I get a sharp pain around my belly b___ton and then if I burp it alleviates it. Has anyone ever experienced this?

hi i am 7 weeks tomorrow and have had niggly pains constant in my groin for the last 2 days i was worried it was eptopic and searched the net for answers this is my 2nd pregnancy my 1st i had a c section and think its to do with scar tissue and ligaments hope im right just glad im not alone.
