What can cause movement in your stomach if not pregnant? I have been having movement in my lower abdomen, near my belly button, near my ribs(my ribs hurt so bad I cannot move), and down in the va___a area(it makes me pee). The movement moslty feels like jabbing. Doctors say it is not pregnancy, yet they will not give me an answer. They say it is in your head, muscle spasm, intestine moving or hernia moving. Can muscle spasm jump around like that? I am confused. If anyone could ask their doctor for me or if they have been through please let me know.

To be honest i think its just gas...its a weird thing and can get almost anywhere. Just try to chill and relax. I dont think your pregnant cause if you felt it near your ribs you would be almost ready to deliver. My guess is its wind!... good luck

Hi, i had the same symptoms you mentioned, plus irregular bowels. Try to observe yourself what other symptoms you have with the abdominal discomfort, so that when you see your doctor she/he can get down directly to correct diagnosis. your symptoms are signs of many illnesses, mine is caused by fibromyalgia, and 6wks pregnant now. For first aid relief, try drinking ice cold water to help relax your belly, or cold compress to your tummy. Don't worry much, it's just probably stress related as it is the most common cause for abdominal discomfort. If your GP can't give you answer, try making appt with an OB. Goddluck.

I asked about movement not abdominal discomfort. Actually seeing movement and feeling movement in my stomach. Different kinds of movement like the feeling of something sharp sticking in me from the inside just like if someone were to poke you with something on the outside. Sometimes it feels like bubbles, other times hard jabs that make you say ouch, flutters, and sometimes I cannot lay on left side because feels like I am laying on something. I have regular bowel movements and like I said no gas at all when these movements happen. Sometimes I have alot of movement, then little movement and some days no movement. And I feel it in my lower abdomen, v____a area, belly b___ton, and sides. I was just wondering is it fibroids or maybe a tumor or something. I am confused but please do not get my question confused with bowel problems because I do not have it.

well the best thing for you to do is go back to your dr since pregnancy was confirmed as negative, if you get an ultrasound and do not see a baby then you are not pg, go see a different dr.

I have the same symptoms and I go for an ultrasound this Wed. I'm concerned, but thinking positive about the outcome. Please share your outcome, as I will share mine.

I am really concern about an abdominal pregnancy too. They can mistake them for a fibroid which I read on the internet. They can live in you longer than a regular pregnancy. I could possibly have that.

Oh my gosh! i have these symptoms too. I am 42, my husband had a vasectomy years ago and I have regular periods (as I speak in fact) so I don't think I'm pregnant but i'm getting this fluttering feeling. Actually its quit pronounced, so much so that i can feel it with my hand. In the exact place where you would feel early fetal movement ( i have 3 kids, youngest is 10) just above pubic bone and not painfull at all. I'm wondering if it could be some kind of fibroids or something. This really just started recently and it's not stopping...wierd. I will have to see my dr. soon i guess. I really don't know what to think. I just looking for info.

I had a v____al ultrasound Wed. and it was negative, however, the techician asked when I had emptied my bowels, "this morning." I replied. She seemed surprised. Anyway the doc referred me to a gastro specialist. Here we go again.
