Possible Nipple Infection

I am 30 weeks and have been having some slight leakage from my nipples for the last two months. My Dr. said this was pretty normal. Just recently my left nipple started being really sore, I can see a crack like indent in the center and my skin can be whitish in color sometimes. Just the other day I started to have small scabs of yellow/whitish color start to form on the tip of my nipple. It is not extremely painful but I am concerned. I want to br___t feed my baby and I am scared that I will not be able to get rid of this problem before he is born. I have already been on antibiotics several times since I have been pregnant and I am afraid to go on it again. Anybody know what this might be?

hi dear,, im 31 weeks pregnant with my first and im having something similar to what ur having.. but i dont understand why ur worried.. this is the early milk supply that ur baby will be having right after he/she is born and then the milk will start to flow.. this is what i've been told.. the color is yellowish.. but im concerned since it's painful for u.. as its not for me.. and did u have any infections during ur pregnancy? that's why u were taking antibiotics? u can ask ur dr again if ur concerned but i think its pretty normal the cracks and yellowish stuff.. but for the pain, no

Sounds to me like you have a blocked milk duct. I had the same thing and it's extremely painful. Go to your doctor and they'll put you on antibiotics.

Duh, its normal. wipe them off in the shower and dont play with them too much.
