I'm 12 weeks. Last night every time I turned over, I would get this strange sharp pain in my abdomen - mainly on the right side. I did a little research today and I think it's round ligament pain. Just thought it was interesting and thought I would pass along what I found out in case anyone else wakes up in the middle of the night with similar feelings! Sounds like its perfectly normal.

tell me bout it! I have been havin weird pains for weeks now i'm nearly fifteen weeks and they are only getin worse lol! Wheni'm relaxed like wen i get up in the morning it feels like i've pulled muscles its so painful. Also if i cough without tensing it hurts for ages afterwards so i know how you feel! congrats on your pregnancy

I don't wake up during the night with it...but I agree that it's round ligament pain. Sometimes, when I get up, switch positions, walk too fast or whatnot, I'll get really really bad pains on my left or right side or both. My doctor told me to just move slower and more carefully. Hope that you feel better! -L-
