hi I am 13 weeks pregnant and I have this odd pain on my left side, its in my back but it shoots from about where my kidneys sit down my bum and a bit of my thigh, i was wondering if this is sciatic nerve pain or should I be worried? sometimes when I am laying down and move my left leg i get the pain really badly or just randomly when I am sitting. has anyone else gotten this pain?

Meghan....it could just be gas or constipation. I had really bad constipation in the beginning to the point where I though something was wrong, but it turns out everything was fine and I'm now 39 weeks. Remember your body is totally changing and things are stretching and moving so you are bound to feel some aches and pains. Check with your doctor just to be sure though and drink LOTS of water. I have bad back pain and I have really bad constipation I am talking I have to use Enemas bad. I do notice after i go to the bathroom is relieves it a lot. The thigh pain can be ligaments and your sciatica could be irritated mine does get that way to. But my doctor also checked my cervex to make sure I was not dilating early because it could be contractions in your back. It's better to be safe that sorry.
