as far as I know you can sleep on your belly until...well you can't sleep on your belly any more! I'm 17.5 weeks and still sleep on my belly though my dr has advised me to get comfy sleeping on my side. its best for blood flow for you and baby to sleep on your left side. I actually prefer to sleep kinda on my side but kinda on my belly. When you start getting uncomfortable get a body pillow. Those have helped me lift me off the bed just enough. I don't have a big belly yet but it takes a bit of the pressure off. But you aren't going to hurt your baby by sleeping on your belly. You'll know when its too uncomfortable though!

I do the same thing. I've started using a pillow that I throw one leg over, then I'm sorta on my tummy, sorta on my side. I haven't asked Dr. about it, but what I've read is the same as "livdea"'s post, sleep on your tummy until it feels like you're sleeping on a basketball, which I would imagine we will notice!! Good luck!

I slept on my tummy until about 18 weeks when it started to get uncomfortable. Now at 25 weeks I am similar to Julie, I sleep on my side but a bit on the side of my belly too.

Im 21 weeks pregnant and i love to sleep on my stomach. It is kinda unconfortable at times but one of the reasons i like doing it is because it pushes my uterus up against my stomach and i can feel my baby move so much more easily... it feels so interesting, it like intensifys the sensitivity or something

yep I slept on my belly til it was just too round. Now i sleep on whatever is closest. Sometimes the leg is over a pillow sometimes the blankets wind up rolled under it, sometimes it is over my man (driving him nuts) :) No harm done. I slept on tum til around 31 weeks. (but I didn't start to grow really until 22 weeks.

I am 37 weeks pg now. I slept on my belly til about 33 wks. that's when it started to get to uncomfortably. let me say this though... I wasn't completely on my stomach. at about 24 wks is when i couldn't sleep on my belly completely. now i can't even do the side and stomach type of sleep anymore.
