I'm 29 weeks and am having the same discomfort. I have been looking on the web and haven't found anything on this topic. It feels like a nerve is being pressed on and it's shooting sharp pains up my v____al ca___l. If you find anything out please post it. Thanks and good luck!!

hi i am 36 weeks pg and i have been getting the same pains it is normal but it could be a number of things e.g. the baby movin further down, the baby on a nerve, your v____a practicing for labour or PSD a pubic bone disorder where your bones overlap and sc___pe on eachother. hope this helps!!!!

it could be early signs of labor when my watter broke with my son i had that exact pain for 2 whole days before my water broke.

Iv been having this pain since is tarted dropping when i would be on my feet too long. i believed it was just my son hitting on a nerve. Well i know he's low because the doctor told me she could feel his head yesterday but tonight iv been sitting down and i keep getting them. it hurts so badly..it feels like his little arms are going to pop into my v____a...not going to happen but thats what it feels like i keep catching myself going owwww really loudly lol i keep scaring my poor fiance. Hopefully i will go into labor lol. im a lil bit more than 37 weeks but genetic history on mothers side for going early and then not feeling pain til way late in the delivery. i was actually searching to see if this could be a sign that he is ready to come out. lol

I have had that same pain for years, even before my pregnancy. It is psyatic nerve pain. It's caused when there is pressure on your nerve. Mine usually lasts for a day or two and then goes away. I'm not really sure what you can do for it. Hope this helps.

I'm actually getting the same pains right now. I am 30 wks. I came on the net to find some answers and have taken comfort in knowing that i am not the only on experiencing this and that it sounds pretty common. Hopefully this eases your mind as well.

i am 32 wks and ive been experiencing the same kicks way down there and the sharp pains ive had trouble finding anything out, too. the dr keeps telling me its normal but, i dont know it really feels wierd & sometimes even painful. ???

I was told in birthing cla__s that those pains are from the babies head bumping a nerve in the cervix. I had them all through the third trimester with both of my pregnancies.

I just asked doc today, and she said that since baby is bigger, there is more pressure, and standing puts all his weight on your v____a and that area, so try to elevate your feet when you can!

Research Pubic Symphysis Disorder, I was diagnosed and now I can do stretches at home to relieve it.

I have been getting sharp pains when i walk or stand up.. it feels like the baby is pushing hard on my cervix.. i had it with my second child right before labor. I am only 31 weeks... and have been having it for a few weeks now...

Like KWest, my doctor told me it was just the baby's head pushing against my pelvic bones too! I would say the person having this problem at 7 weeks, may have a different pain or reason for pain than what those of us late in our 3rd trimester are talking about. I am at 38-1/2 weeks.
