Sweeping Pain At 17 Weeks

hi i'm now 17 weeks pregnant i have many ups and downs and had 3 scans so far next one is 3 weeks time. does anyone suffer bad cramps at night its not quite like i have been reading bout on here, it kinda sweeps across my belly and makes me gasp for breath cause its that painful at times, been to dr and he signed me off work but with no advise, i have no bleeding does anyone have any ideas? thx

You might be having BH contractions. I had them very early. They sometimes feel like a sharp pain, sometimes like a menstrual cramp, and sometimes different altogether. They were all different feeling at different times for me. I don't know if you've ruled that out yet, but just thought I'd let you know that BH contractions are not always by the book and can feel many different ways, especially at first.
