It sounds like you need to talk to your doctor, severe swelling can be a sign of some problems. I stand on my job too, and at my 20wk visit, the doctor told me I should work no more than 6 hours a day. (I was working 9 with no breaks) Also if you stand all the time, you have a higher risk of preterm labor and of having a low-birthweight baby, not to mention backaches. The best thing you can do to relieve the swelling yourself is to lie down on your side whenever you can, and to wear socks that aren't tight around the ankles (I found some in the men's dept at walmart that are 'relaxed fit'.) Also, don't sit with your feet propped up, because that can make circulation problems worse. Good luck, and take care of yourself, girl!
