Upper Stomach Feeling Numb At 38weeks

i am 38 weeks and for the last i could say week i have been feeling numbness in my upper stomach area not so much at the bottom but at the very top. i don't get the tingly feeling but i sure feel numb, i can feel the baby moving and i think he is fine but why am i so numb? should i be at the ER...please reply

I am 36.5 weeks pregnant and the top of my tummy, just under my b___stbone also feels numb. I mentioned this to the midwife but she wasn't too concerened and said it was probably just the presssure of the baby.

Hi I am only 24wks., but have had a numb spot on the upper part of my stomach on the left side since about wk 20. I asked my doc. @ the last check-up and she said it is very normal to have this happen. She said the whole upper part of her stomach was numb with her daughter. I have it under my b___stbone. I had never heard of it until she said she had it also, then she joked that we must just be weird. She a__sured me it is okay, don't worry it is just from all the pressure.
