Would Like To Get Pregnant

i am getting married in 3 months and would like to get pregnant soon after. i am on effexor xr 150 i have been on it for almost 6 months. i am afraid to go back the way i was. i am being treated for anxiaty and depression. the anxiaty comes from fear of getting bladder infections, just thinking about it scares me, i get the so very bad. but i would love to have a child. is there another med that is safe to take during my pregnancy? i am going to see my doc in a week for a check up on the effexor and am just wondering what my options are

Many stay on effexor during pregnancy. Perhaps lowering it to 75mgs would make you feel more comfortable to get pregnant, but the reality is... there are many women who need to remain on their anti-depressants during and after pregnancy. It is more important that you discuss b___st feeding... you may need to skip that, depending what anti-depressant you are on. But, regardless of what b___st feeding advocates say, children on formula are just fine. If your anti-depressant makes life liveable... take it. You will most likely have an absolute normal pregnancy. There are no guarantees even if you take absolutely no meds...
