Hi sweeties, Dont worry! I have had 3 children...and every single pregnancy I had this...its scarry, I know, but its ok...its just old blood....I wouls have pinkish spotting, then a little while later...it would be brownish, my doctor said it was just old blood that was trapped up there, and everything was ok....sometimes your womb can bleed just a small bit, because its full of vessels, that can break easily....or it can be the baby emplanting to the uterus wall.....so dont be alarmed....its very normal, but if you blead with soaking a pad....you need to go to the doctors right away...cramps are normal too, its just the womb changing to carry your baby.....you wont believe how your body is changing everyday.....Im pregnant again, this will be my 4th baby...and Im only 28...lol...but Im glad I could help....its scarry I know, but everything will be fine...I bled terrible with my daughter, and shes 4 now...I had placenta prievia...when the placenta attaches to the bottom of the womb....and even then, chances are very good you will carry to term....Peace & Love to you all, just take it easy.....till your further along...and soon you will be holding your sweet little ones in your arms...

I just did IVF in May and I'm scheduled for my 1st ultra sound today. I've been spotting light pink off and on for about 3 weeks. The Dr. said not to worry as long as it's not bright red and I'm not having any back pains. Regardless, it's still scary to see. I've also noticed that it usually occurs after a bowel movement. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I will be at 29 days today and I usually start at day 24-26. I have had some brown spotting since about day 20 so I figured that I was starting my period, but the spotting got lighter. It was never more than just a few spots on the pantyliner and now it is only when I have a bm. I have taken two pregnancy tests and they both had a very light pink line. I am taking this as a positive, but I hope that I am not getting excited about nothing. I want to call my doctor today, but I dont' know if it is too early for a blood test. I want to be pregnant so bad and my husband and I are trying not to get too excited till we know for sure. This will be our first so I am new to this game. If anyone has any advice or comments for me that would be great. I have read a lot of these and find them rea__suring.

To Beth -- Congragulations! Even a faint line is considered a positive result, and shows that the test is detecting *some* HCG, which would NOT be present at any detectable level if you were not pregnant. A blood test will be able to give you the exact level of HCG present in your blood, therefore it is MUCH more sensitive than a urine test which can only give you a positive (if HCG is detected) or negative (if no HCG is detected) result. Four weeks, especially if you're also spotting, is NOT too early to see your doctor. In the meantime, try not to worry, since brown spotting seems to be a common symptom of normal pregnancy. Good luck! To Juliet -- Have you had your first prenatal exam, yet? At seven weeks, a transv____al ultrasound will be able to confirm a healthy pregnancy (in which case, don't let the brown spotting worry you), or a potential complication. I had a couple of days of brown spotting and light menstrual cramps two weeks ago at 6 and a half weeks, but all tests came back normal (much to my surprise and relief!). I've been reading up on the subject of "spotting during pregnancy" ever since and, as scary as it is, it is also a surprisingly COMMON symptom of normal pregnancy. And, since you also had the same thing with your last pregnancy, I would not worry, especially if all your other tests come back normal. Good luck!

I am still spotting brown and yesterday I started having minor cramps. This morning when I woke up I had some very dark reddish brown with a bm. The cramps are still here, but are still very light. I took a clear blue easy test last night and it said negative, but my urine was pretty diluted. I am TRYING to wait to see what happens today and take another test Friday morning, but I want to know. My emotions are on a roller coaster ride here.

well i have been having a little bit of spoting of blood (like stricks). does this mean that the sperm is trying to get through the wall of the placinta? i am not scaried. i think this happened when i was pregnate with my son but it has been a year and three months since then so i don't remember. so write me back so that i will know if this is normal. thanks.

I'm now 11 weeks pregnant but had a v____al ultrasound when I was 6weeks 2 days. I had been experiencing brown spotting with mucous, and I found that the internal ultrasound made it worse - I found red blood when I wiped myself the day after! I continued to spot for two weeks until it finally went away! My husband and I also avoided having s_x while I was spotting, as it tended to make it worse too! Don't be too worried, spotting is quite common, as you can see from all the posts! Just take it easy and hopefully it will resolve itself! Good luck!

Ladies - all of the information you have given to me through your words of wisdom and similar situations has made me feel so much more informed - and not alone. I am 32 yrs old and have been trying to have a baby for 2 years. I missed my period and took 2 preg tests Saturday, 1 Sunday and 1 today - all are possitive. Unfortunatly, I began spotting yesterday morning and it hasn't stopped yet. The discharge is brown and mucus like. It also seems to to be in very small clumps - this really concerns me - could this be tissue? The discharge really only appears when I wipe - barly can see a trace on a pad. What do you think this is?? I went to the doctor today who gave me an exam and said my uterus is enlarged. He also sent me for bllod work today to test HCG levels. Thursday I'll have more bloodwork done and an u/s. I'm very nervous - but trying to stay hopeful. Any thoughts any of you have will be welcome!
