All, It was so great to find this site. I am 8 weeks pregnant, with my second child and I though for sure something was wrong. I feel like I look like I am 5 months pregnant. My belly sticks out, and my friends are like "your already showing!" Sometimes I felt like I was acting the part and that's why I "looked" pregnant. However, I cant fit into any of my "normal" clothes comfortably. I have been working out and watching my diet. After reading all of these responses, I have decided I am not going to even try to squish this belly into it my old clothes. I guess I should ask - who made the rule that you cant wear maternity clothes until your so far along? I don't know about you ladies, but I am all about the comfort. I already have to deal with the back aches, the ga__sy, bloaty, puffy body.. why not feel comfy. And the maternity clothes these days are so fashionable - most people wont even know. So go for it.... because its all about you being happy and comfortable and enjoying your pregnancy.

I am so glad to know that I am not alone. I am a mother of 2 and pregnant with my third I am 11 1/2 weeks right now and I am huge! This is so weird for me my youngest is 7 and my oldest is 14, just taking it on day at a time, I catch myself trying to hide my size........well it aint gonna get smaller.........LOL

This is our 1st pregnancy and I am only 7 weeks along and almost all of my shirts do not fit any longer I have only put on 1.5 lbs but my stomach and chest are definitly larger than normal. I had some maternity clothes that my cousin had given to me, so for haha's I tried on the tops and surprizingly they look much better than squeezing me into my own. I'm not sure why I feel like I'm changing so early. But it definitly is better to wear clothes that fit. It helps also that these shirts have no "hay look at me I'm pregnant" look to them. I'm already getting "so how far along are you" Which really bothers me. I had gained some weight over the last year but suddenly everyone notices and think that I am further along. I am 5'8.5" and used to weigh 135 and now weigh a sad 160. So am I just getting fat or could my body really be changing this soon?

Hey there Linda, I am pregnant with my first child, and I am only 20 years old. I can already feel the weight being put on, as well as see it, especially when I eat. I am only in my first trimester as well!

Tracy I agree... wheres the rule that says you cant wear maternity wear until your ??? weeks. I too am wearing some and boy they are far more comfortable than trying to wear the "normal" clothes i did.

I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one feeling as if I'm getting "big" very fast. I'm only 7 weeks and this is baby number 4. I know my belly is bigger ,my clothes are tighter and I feel huge already......oh no!

This message board is just excellent. I am 10 weeks pregnant with my first child and I found it strange that I can no longer fit in to my favorite clothes despite website telling me my baby is only 1.25 inch big! I will need to buy maternity clothes (pants most importantly) in the next week of so. Quick question please, do maternity pants come in different sizes depending on your stage of pregnancy or will the elastic around the waist stretch enough to fit say even a 8 mth pregnant mother?

I am 7 weeks and this is my second pregnancy. My last being 2 yrs ago. This time though i have started showing at 6 weeks, i don't have much sickness like i did with my daughter but i have put 3 inch on my hips already! I was a size 18 (uk size) and they are tight now. I have been having slight lowere back pain on the left side and am beginning to wonder if could be twins now or could it be possible to be further gone than i think and had a period in between missing this one! Any info would be great as twins does not run in family but i have not been to the dr yet

I am pregnant with my second. I'm 4 weeks. With my first i started showing around 7-8 weeks so i'm waiting for it to be sooner with this one. Can you show as early as 4 weeks?
