I am 11 weeks with my first pregnancy and i am definately showing!!!! i have been in maternity clothes for 2 1/2 weeks. I had a dr. appt. yesterday for another sonogram. they wanted to check to make sure i was not carrying twins. I am not carrying twins but have one healthy baby. I asked the dr. WHY am I showing already, and he said everyone is different don't worry about it. My mom was showing with me by the 3rd month and she also had an huge stomach by the end of the pregnancy--so i guess that's what i have to look forward to. I have a very small frame and my guess is the only way i have to grow is out??

That is good to know because I thought I was the only one. I am 8 weeks and I just broke down and bought maternity jeans yesterday. And this is my 1st pregnancy!

Hi, I'm in week twelve. I had a previous pregnancy that lasted until end of week eight. I have gained 13 lbs. in my first trimester now with this pregnancy. I started out at 120 lbs. I feel like I'm the only person with a significant weight gain in the first tri. I feel like my body knows what it's doing, so I'm not worried, but I wondered if I was gaining more weight because I was coming off of the Atkins diet before I found out that I was pregnant. Now of course I am eating a lot more carbs. So, Does anyone know if you gain more coming off a low carb diet? Just curious:)

Hey Linda, could be bloating but depending on your size before pregnancy you could start showing a little in the first trimester. I am not a skinny mini and I am like Laura, my jeans were vey uncomfortable to me at 6 or 7 weeks. I am 10 1/2 weeks now and I still wear my baggy pants but I really like my stretchy waists.

I am 6 weeks with my third child. I cannot find anything hardle that I can fit into! I started showing at 5 months with my first child and at 4 months with my second. I will probably be in maternity clothes by 10 weeks, if I can go that long.

I'm almost 7 weeks. My first pregnancy. When will I start showing? I'm flat as a pancake right now and I do go to the gym and still work on my stomach muscles. I'm hoping I can wear my jeans for a long time still! I have a slender build too and weighed 116 when I got pg.

Well I too have gained about 10 pounds already. I lost about 80 pounds over the past 2 years on Weight Watchers and I think my body was so used to limited dairy and carbs and now ofcourse I have to eat a balanced diet with extra of both. So now I'm scared that I'll end up gaining 30+ pounds with this pregnancy.

Oops forgot to mention I'm in my 12th week right now with my third pregnancy and I'm showing a little too.

I am already have a bloated mum tum and I am sure that people will start to notice, I am wearing things slung around my waist to cover it up. i'm 6 weeks along and my size sixes have started to feel like size fours! this is my first pregnancy and i've actually lost about 5 lbs because i started eating like a saint as soon as i found out. my doc said that when you're tall and slim, you show earlier. he also said that you show when you show. i know a lady who was only wearing 2 sizes bigger than usual when she went to deliver, and i know women who looked 5 months at 5 weeks. i think that as long as you're eating pretty healthfully, then you'll be ok.

i am at the beginning of my third month, and although i have not gained any weight, there are already some clothes that i have that are getting too tight to wear. My best friend gained 13 lbs in her first trimester and she was very much showing during the 2nd month.

Maggie - March 6

I am almost two months and my first child and everything is tight and I already look like I am five months. Plus my appet_te hasn't been very hungry!

I am 6 1/2 weeks pregnant with my 4th and didn't think I was showing, but nothing fit me in the waist when I was getting dressed for church today. I hadn't tried any of the clothes on for two weeks and in that time, they got much tighter! I was very depressed. I finally squeezed into something and wore it uncomfortably tight all day (yuck). At first I thought I could not be showing yet, c'mon! but the more I thought about it (pregnancy #4) and after reading these postings, and i haven't been able to eat either so it couldn't be weight- I have to face reality. I don't want to have to buy new clothes for this stage, but don't wan to wear maternity clothes this early! I plan to go shopping to see what I can figure out. Anyone had any luck with the bella band thing? It was all I could think about while sitting uncomfortably in my skirt at church.

I'm 12 weeks pregnant with my first child and I'm 5'6. Before I got pregnant I weighed 123 lbs. now I weigh 135. I've gained 12 lbs since I've gotten pregnant and I'm only in my first trimester. I am definately showing. I already look 4 1/2 months.

I am 11 wks preg., 1st time and I've gained a whopping 10 pounds!! AAAHHHHH!!! :) I was quite proud of my flat belly before and have been shocked that NONE of my jeans fit and that I've gained so much weight. My doc says not to worry and that lots of people do this so I'm not freakin out yet...I haven't gained anymore in a couple weeks and still have quite the appet_te so I'm optimistic its somewhat normal...glad to see I'm not the only one! :)

Amber - March 8

What month will my belly b___ton start to poke out and when does my stomach starts to get hard.
