I am 5 weeks tomorrow and had light cramping and back ache from Saturday until yesterday. Also had sore bb's. My concern is that my symptoms seem to be going away, I mean besides my bb's being a little sore and having to urinate every 20 minutes it seems. Anyone else have this issue? I called my doctor and she said as long as I am not bleeding and in pain then everything should be ok.

Yes, I am 5 weeks pregnant with my first and I have had cramping. I have been told not to worry as this is normal. It is just your muscles stretching etc. The cramping will stop shortly. How many weeks are you?

Well it seems a lot of us get the cramping but I would explain mine more as a stomach ache......like a dull pain not the same as my period cramps. I am 3 1/2 weeks...would anybody agree with that??

BB, I am right there with you. 3 1/2 weeks. I have had cramping on and off for a few days as well as the whole, feels like a gut ache thing. I have also had a little bit of brown spotting. I am hoping that everything is okay. I haven't seen my doctor yet so I am a bit nervous. But I would like to know if that is normal?

Thanks God for this site. I have been getting cramps for 2 days, and only found out 2 days ago that I was pregnant! I called nhs direct helpline (UK) last night and they told me to ring my GP this morning. My GP is going to ring me back, but I am worried sick it might be ectopic.

Can someone please help me?? My partner and I had several sessions of intercourse at the 'right time of the month' After only a few days after ovulation I experienced 'cramping' and also other 'typical' symptoms that i haven't felt before: nausea, felt muggy, lots of cm, lower backache - i just 'knew ' i was pregnant (for the first time - aged 33). The cramping went on for 2 weeks and then the cramping stopped a few days ago. My period is due in around 4 or 5 days time, and I am now feeling pre-menstrual instead of the now familiar cramping feeling. Could i still be pregnant when I'm feeling that my period is on the way or is the cramping 'continuous'?? I took a test this afternoon but it was neg... but that was perhaps too early to tell 5 days before period. Any advice at all would be great - as i'm worrying all the time that we have not been succesful as the cramping has stopped and feel PMTy.

I'm almost 6 wks. Have had cramping for about a week, lately more lower, center abdomen w/back pain. Books say that location may not be good, but all these postings seem to say it's normal. My Dr.'s NP said I could take another blood test to feel better, but then another NP there said not to, because it's normal and you can't do anything about it if it's bad news. (Already know it isn't ectopic.)

FOR REBECCA-
I feel for you. My husband and I are just coming off of spending 2004 on "lightly trying" and the first few months of 2005 on heavy duty trying. I found that the more focused I was on counting down the days to my period and watching for signs of pregnancy, the more miserable I was when my period inevitably came. I spent two months saying, "When God is ready, it will happen" and not obsessing over not drinking for two weeks, etc...just in case I was pregnant.
Praise God, I'm now in my 10th week and everything is good. As a note, though, I will say that I was CONVINCED I was not pregnant. I know what PMS is, and I was sure that was what I was experiencing right until I was a week late. I took a test kind of on a fluke, and lo and behold, I had a plus sign!
So hard as it is, try to relax and wait for your time. I'm saying a prayer for you as I type this.
:)

i am 6 weeks and i have cramping, i wouldn't worry about the cramping unless your bleeding, i had a miscarriage a few months ago it started with cramping, and then bleeding, so if theirs no bleeding i wouldn't worry

my husband and I have been trying to concieve and I've had lower ab cramps since about three to five days after ovulation. Could this mean that I am pregnant or is it just in my head?

So it it cramping or the uterus stretching? Also, has anyone had a little light blood after s_x? Where is the cramping you have?
