Has Anyone Experienced Cramping During Early Pregnancy

Hi Sinamon, I had really bad cramps at weeks 4 and 5. When I got a pregnancy confirmation paper, I mentioned it to the nurse. She said that it was normal to experience cramping around the time that you would regularly have your period. At the time I was worried about ectopic pregnancy but now I know I'm safe. Sometimes it's good just to get on the phone with a nurse and explain to them how you feel. It rea__sures you and makes you feel better!!

does anyone's cramping feel more like a mild aching? i'm now 19 days late for my period and have developed a mild aching in my lower abdomen off and on. i can't tell if it's maybe the onset of period cramps or not. it kinda comes and goes but hasn't really gotten worse since they first started. anyone else have the same problem?

I checked with my doctor, and she said it is normal during the pregnancy. Does anybody know what is the best herbal or natural product to get rid of fungal infections. I m 5 1/2 weeks pregnant and my doc suggested me to apply olive oil. But it is not at all helping me..

I've had 2 miscarrages before and now I'm pregnant again and very happy. Although can't help not to be worried. I'm about 6 weeks and been feeling mild and intense cramping. My beta last week was 1500 and progesterone 16.2, doctor says it's all good, but I am so nervous and crying all the time. Maybe the hormones.

Thank god I found this site!!! And all of you. I am 5 weeks and having the cramps and funny feeling in my lower abdomen .. so I rang my doc ... who scared the S*** out of me by giving me an emergency appointment and suggesting it could be an eptopic pregnancy. However when I got there he just poked my tummy said he couldn't feel anything and told me to come back if it got worse!!! I miscarried in my last and only other pregnancy .. and I have been so scared... it's such a relief to know that it seems to be quite a normal symptom!!! Thanks folks!!

P.S. where do you get these great doctors that test progesterone (and whatever beta is) instead of telling you that the best treatment that they can come up with is and I quote "to keep your fingers crossed"??????

Took hpt came back positive. Have not missed period. Already have 3 children youngest is 12 yrs. Possibly 3 weeks. History of bleeding throughout all pregnancies. 1st C-section. 2nd & 3rd VBAC. Spotting and severe cramping. Definitely Uterus contracting. Pain feels just like after giving birth and b___st feeding. The doctors tell you that b___st feeding helps shrink your uterus but is very painful until you get use to it. Taking another test next week to confirm.

I'm experiencing cramping too. The kind that goes along with my period, but my problem is that I think I have my period too. I woke up this morning to find I had bled through the night. It was light and light red this morning, but now it is a darker red and some small clots. I took a pregnancy test today, my third one. The first two were negative and I took them last Friday. Today there was an extremely light positive. So light you had to look close, but in comparison with the others you could definitely tell something was there. am I okay? I am going to test again Monday...

I'm so glad to read all of these entries. Just like one that I read, I'm about 7 weeks and a couple of days ago, I too, I started to get a "funny" feeling on my lower right side. I called my nurse's line and she also scared. I cried all night. She told me to have an appt. with the doc because she wanted to take precautions and rule out an ectopic. When I saw my doc, he confirmed that I would be feeling a lot more pain if it was an ectopic. I described it as a lingering feeling (achy) and he said that sometimes when an egg is released and gets pushed through the tube, hormones are being released and can sometimes irritate the tube, sometimes causing a little bleeding. So... just thought I'd share that. It was such a release.
