I just turned 6 weeks today. I have been having some cramping as well, but feel silly b/c I can't tell if it's under my hip, my lower back or in my uterus! I hear it is all normal stretching, but still worry because my first pregnancy was high risk... my son was 2 1/2 mths. premature (10 years old and doing just fine)! My sister who has 6 kids said it is all normal and is the implantation at this point that I am feeling!

Hi Amy. In all my reading and research, it appears that implantation happens before you evenmiss your period- a week or so after conception. Although dozens of other girls seem to have this spotting too.. I think there may be another reason, but it seems to be nothing to worry about till it becomes red and cramps worse than a period.

Hi - July 4

Be careful in taking comfort in hearing that cramping is normal. I had cramping for 2 weeks on and off that felt like menstrual cramps and had a miscarriage 2 days ago. Go see your doctor and have your Hcg levels checked.

Hello all - first off, to the 7/4 posting from "hi", I'm so sorry for your loss... I had a miscarriage at the end of March and have been thrilled beyond words to be pregnant again - 6 weeks today. I'm 42, no living children, and am so nervous... last night I was awakened out of a dead sleep with a severe lower abdominal cramp that lasted about 2 minutes. No bleeding still today and pains have subsided - just weird "ga__sy" type, very mild sensations in my abdomen now. Any thoughts from anyone? A phone call to my doctor said it sounded okay, but I have a bad feeling... Best wishes to all of you. God Bless.

Oh wow! I am so glad that this web site exists since I had baaaad luck until now. I have lost 3 babies within the first 9weeks of pregnancy 1st with 23 2nd 24 and third 26 and I am now on a special program with the clinic and they have checked EVERYTHING, but did not find the reason why. I am now again 5 wks pregnant and also have cramps and of course I get freaked out every time and try to calm myself down. So what I do is read about your experiences since I have about tones of different pregnancy books which all have no information and I don`t trust docs like I used to. Reading this forum calms me down and gives me a positive att_tude. All I can say is try to think positive and take good care of yourselfs! Good luck to all of you.

I have had cramping since last Wednesday when my period was due. Friday I got a postive on a test. I still have been cramping, but this morning I had a brownish pinkish discharge. I am not bleeding and I haven't had the dischange since this morning. I am wondering if everything is ok?

I am just coming in to he 6th week and I had quite a few cramps last week - every day. It has stopped today and if anything I am worried as to why I cant feel them anymore - is everything okay ?

Hello everyone. I am so glad to find this site, eventhough I've read that cramping is usually your uterus stretching I am so glad to know that so MANY of you ARE experiencing the same thing. I just had IVF on June 15th. I am 5 weeks and 1 day. Had 2 previous ectopics. I'm praying that all 3 embryos attached!! Am I crazy or what? Anyway, those of you who are worried, please try not to be. I know it's difficult, but try for your sake and the baby's. Blessings to you all and healthy pregnancies and safe deliveries.

This is a great site! I have PCOS and I always thought (and was told by Dr's) that I may never get pregnant. Well I started charting my temp and think that I may be close to 4 weeks preg. I have been unbelievably tired, queasy feeling, a bit ga__sy, back pain and headaches that are all not normal for me. I went to the doctor today because I have a dull pain near my left ovary, not the sharp pain that I get near ovulation, or with cysts, but it lasts longer, and comes and goes. The doctor had me do a urine test, but it was negative, and grudgingly did an HCG test because I asked for it. Although he doesn't think that I am preg. I just feel strange... I am used to cramps etc... but this is different and I was very worried about an ectopic pregnancy. I went off the pill in April because it was making me sick. And otherwise with the PCOS, I almost never have my period. Going from my charting it was been 10 days since the temp spike. Could I be pregnant? It would be wonderful... but this pain really has me worried. It's near my left ovary, but sometimes closer to the middle. Thanks for the input!

I am so glad to here that there are so many women experiencing the same things as I am...not that I wish these cramps on anyone. I am 5 weeks and been experiencing moderate cramps on and off since the week i was supposed to get my period. I went to the Dr's last week and she said it's normal. Reading all of your stories has settled my nerves. I know anything can still happen at such an early stage, but I definitely will sleep better. My prayers are with you all.

I had a positive hpt last friday with mild cramping. Then, suddenly during the last 3 nights, I have been experiencing heavy cramping in the lower uterine area with no bleeding. Ouch!!! It woke me up 3 times last nite. Each time I would rise to go tinkle. When I laid back down to bed, I was really hurting. I had a busy day on my feet yesterday and ate lots of spicy food. Maybe that's the problem. Anyway, I'm calling my doc today....

I was supposed to start today, but did not. Hoping I pregnant! I have had cramp like symptoms on and off today and a lil bit yesterday, as if I am about to start, but nothing! All week last week my nipples were more sore than ever. Took a test this AM, it was negative....but now, I am beginning to think I really might be. Is this my wishful thinking or Is there a real possibility?? signed wishing for a little angel
