I was at the Dr. yesterday and I told him I had cramping in the first 6 weeks. He told me that is was my ligaments stretching to raise my uterus up to my abdomen.

Are headaches common during very early pregnancy?

Ca__sie - July 29

Yes! I had annoying cramps early on in pregnancy (weeks 4-7) and was a little worried, but they went away and my doc said that as long as I wasn't doubling over in pain, that I shouldn't worry. Though the person who wrote this like 7 months pregnant, hopefully this helps others who are worried. Of course it is always good to consult your doc.

I'm five weeks and am having mild cramping as well. Glad to know I'm not alone. I was getting worried.

I feel I am not going as insane anymore. I had a recent m/c and with that I had cramping also, although I have to admit, it was a different type of cramping than what I am feeling now. Now it is very mild and goes just as quick as it comes. Knowing I am not alone is comforting. Denise, I believe I also conceived on July 4th...it was my birthday. Congrats to all

I'm in my 5th week and I've been worried about the cramping so I called my Dr. last night and she said unless I was doubled over in servere pain it it was most likely my uterus stretching and expanding, I was very relieved to hear this. I've also been the opposite of constipated and she said that was from the Progesterone. Hope this may help.

Has anyone ever heard of cramping during implantation? Could that be possible? How common is it? I've been feeling cramps and I am at least a week in a half away from my period. thanx

After reading all of the previous messages, I am so relieved to hear others are cramping and it's okay. This is my third pregnancy, two miscarriages and I'm freaked about everything happening to my body. It's been a while since the last miscarriage and I don't remember the cramps. I also notice I can't fit comfortably into my jeans and I'm only 5 weeks! I'm not pigging out or "eating for two" as they say. Is anyone else having this problem?

I am now two days late for my period which is nothing new, and have having cramps, sore b___sts and been very nasty for two or three days. I am wondering whether to take a test or not as don't want to waste money. It is nice to know this is a sign of pregnancy.
