It is a relief to hear that cramping is normal. It is very brief but daily and usually wakes me in the night. I would call it strong as I need to sit down when it is happening. This is my third pregnancy and my other two ended in miscarriage. The first had the same cramping and the second did not. Wouldn't it be nice if there was a test that would give you a guarantee that you would have a healthy little baby in your arms in 9 months!?

wow...when I found out i was pregnant, I was 4 1/2 weeks. I had like period cramps i was scared that i would have a misscariage. But I went in they said it was my bowl movement....So they told me to limit dairy product so I did, now theres no cramping anymore. Glad to hear that you ladys had cramping, I got scared myself. I'm pregnant for the first time. So I dont know whats to expect..not I'm 61/2 weeks...

Hi everyone...Its August 19 2007 and I have been having these cramps and lower back pain for about a week now. I looked everything up on the computer and it said I was 3 weeks but its not time for my period yet and I was wondering could I be pregnant if my period aint due until the 25 of August?

I was in the same boat. At 3 weeks I had period cramps and backache and then I am now officially 6 days late and still getting them. I have taken HPT's which are negative, however I am testing in another few days, good luck.

Hey all, I had a positive test last week and i have had some cramping to, on the sides of my abdomen and in my back. I have had some light bleeding too, but I heard that it could be Implatiation bleeding, so wish me luck please and that everything is ok with my baby. I am going to see my OB tomorrow

I'm sorry, I'm going to be the downing in this group. I was in my first pregnancy about 4 months ago, I complained to my DR about cramping, more than mild to moderate. They said everything was fine(around 8 weeks), then I went in for my 2nd ultrasound when i was about 12 weeks only to find out the baby died right after 8 weeks. I had to have a D&C and I just found out a few weeks ago I am pregnant again, I'm about 8 weeks and cramping the same. I had spotting about a week and a half ago, was in the hospital for 2 days for all kinds of testing, only for them to tell me everything is ok this time around also, I'm a bit apprehensive, and sounds like a pessimistic. I know i hear and read that most times it's normal and a good sign of growing, but I just wanted to let everyone know that it's not. Best of luck to everyone.

yes i have the same thing i am 5 weeks and I'm freaking out because around 9 months ago i had a miscarriage.. but the cramps i had then were excruciating, i couldn't even walk , and i was bleeding really bad. these cramps i have now i guess are normal from what every one is saying.

So glad to see this post! I had 3 positive tests almost 2 weeks ago but my HCG levels were low so I see my family doc tomorrow to check out my latest blood test results. I hope everything is going well. I had excruciating abdominal pain for about a month but it has tapered off quite a bit THANK GOD. I went to the clinic and they didn't seem concerned so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that everything is going to be ok. Good luck to you guys!

well ive been having cramping for 7 days and my period is not due till the 29th nov 2007 so im in 2 minds whether to take a HPT yet. or just wait it out.

i was thinking this also. when i got my bfp a couple days before i was cramping not bad tho. then again yesterday(6 weeks 3 days) i got it a couple times throughout the day. i think its normal.

Im sorry, I had a misscarriage....I had it on my birthday...So I aint pregnant anymore.

i have it too...mostly the last week but im 5 weeks now and its milder and comes and goes

I found out when i was 5 weeks, and it seems like right after i took the test i started cramping, idk its weird but yeahh i cramped a lot in my right side , The doctor told me it was ligaments stretching. Good Luck!!
