I am so glad that this web site exsists. This is my 1st time and I dont know how far along I am but I have cramping and was so scared! I havent been able to get a dr. appoint. yet so I was very worried and thought I was just waiting for a miscarrage. Thankyou everyone! And I just wanted to know - is how it is the whole time?

I have had bad cramps like I am pre period for the last week and I am 5 weeks pregnant. I went to the Dr yesterday and they did an ultrasound and checked my progesterin levels and said everything was ok. I am still having cramps like crazy and go back for another ultrasound in 2 weeks. If you havent let your doctor know about the cramps even if there is no bleeding I would encourage you to as soon as possible. This is my 2nd pregnancy and I don't remember having cramps like I have now.

hi eve, im 10 weeks pregnant, when i was about 6 weeks i got a cramp that lasted all day and night then yesterday at 10 weeks i got a cramp that lasted all day without a break, its like a dull heavy ache, midwife says its normal, so hopefully we'l b ok, good luck.

Hi all, this thread is a godsend, I've been sat here worrying about my lower backache and slight cramping, I'm 5 weeks today. Very rea__suring to know that it's quite common, especially as my 1st Midwife appt isn't until 11th May! Thanks girls, Sally

I'm 5 weeks and I'm having period type cramps. I'm also sore when I twist and turn especially in bed where I sleep on my stomach. With my first baby I had cramps at 10 weeks for a day a two but I've had this for a week. Thanks for making me feel better.

I am 12 weeks today, and still once in awhile get slight cramping. As long as the cramping doesnt have u doubled over in pain and there is no blood, my dr told me there isnt much to worry about. It's normal pretty much thruout a pregnancy. Just our uterus' stretching, and the babies are growing :)

i am 4 weeks i took hpt which came out dark went to the doctor and they said urine test came back questionable have to take another one in 48 hrs (friday) went home took another hpt still dark anyone ever experience this?

I've heard of that happening before, basically HPT's are far more sensitive that the pregnancy testing the doctor's use! My friend was told by her doctor to go buy a HPT because she would get a result much quicker and they are more sensitve! The fact that you ve got a dark line is good, (but then even a faint line is still positive)! Congrats!

Yes, I did with my first and again with my second pregnancy. It feels like a menstral cramp. I think as long as there isn't any bleeding or grayish discharge, you're ok. Talk to your doctor if it gets worse. Maybe just the uterus stretching to accomodate a growing baby. Good luck to you.

I think I'm about 4 weeks and I'm having cramping with lower back pain. I'm not worried even though at the time it can be scary. I have a 5 year old and I remember so clearly I was having the same cramping with him. I called my regular doctor at the time and he tells me you are probably going to have a miscarriage. I freaked out, but thank you Jesus my son is beautiful. Don't worry unless you have too. God is in control.

im about 5weeks pregnant and my first time as well, i've experiencing cramping in my 2nd week as if having my period. but it subsided already. it gave me a cramp everytime i wear tight jeans or shorts.

Yeah. If your pants or underware are tight, it does make the cramps worse!

I am 4 wks I think. I took hpt the other day. I am also experiencing cramping I kinda nervous because we have been trying for over a year. I took two test both with + results.

Everybody-Did the cramping start much sooner than when your cycle would have started, or at the same time?

I'm so glad it seems to be normal. I'm 6 wks and it's my first, so I've been freaking out even though it's pretty mild, like I'm ovulating. It started at about 4 wks and usually goes away when I lie down.

I'm 6 weeks - today experiencing awful period like pains and lower back pain. No longer feel nauseus as I have for last 2 weeks. No bleeding (as yet) I have 2 sons and had a m/c between them at 12 weeks. I'm scared out of my mind....
