I am alomost 9 weeks pregnant and I cramp alomost everyday. Also several times a day. It's not severe but it does feel like major period cramps at times. Everything has been perfectly normal so far and i hope it stays that way.

I posted a couple of days ago about some cramping I was having. It got so bad that I knew something had to be wrong. I finally found the culprit...GAS! Thinking back, I did notice I was burping and pa__sing gas more. Yuck! I have learned that gas can do weird things to your body (make you feel like you're having the worst case of PMS in your life or miscarrying). It got so bad that I went to the ER...my shoulder was killing me! All because of gas. The pregnancy is normal and healthy. I've been advised to take 1 1/2 tsp. of baking soda in 4 oz. warm water. I'm about to try it and I'll let you know if it helps. I didn't know this is actually an early pregnancy symptom. Anyway, maybe this will shed some light on some of your cramping!

Can you get pregnant during menstration?

Carrie - May 26

Yes, I am a little over 5 weeks pregnant and have had constant cramping for over 2 weeks now. The nurse said this is normal as long as there is no bleeding. So far no bleeding. I've had 2 HCG blood tests which are increasing properly, so so far everything looks good. Good luck!

hi. I dont know how far along i am, but not very far at all. I am pretty certain im pregnant because my stomach has started to cramp. I havent missed my period yet and my husband is telling me to not get my hopes up. But i know something is different. I took a pregnancy test 2 to 3 days ago, but it was negative. Still too soon for the test to tell i guess. I sent my husband out to get another one tonight lol. This is driving me crazy i think. I just really need to know. I cant sleep at night, i am very irritable, but actually handleing it quite well.

According to research and my doc cramping during early pregancy is common. I'm 6 weeks now and I panicked when I first started with cramps and on/off abdominal pains. My doc gave me internal exam and ruled out ectopic pregnancy. He did say that many women have period pains throughout the nine months and have v. healthy babies. He also mentioned that pains in the abdomin and cramps could be a worrying sign. Basically see your doc for rea__surance and think positive. Congrats!

I got pregnant through IVF. One day before my first beta I was cramping A LOT (but no bleeding) so I thought the IVF failed and my period was about to come. Then aI get my first positive beta at 4 weeks. At 4w4d started cramping severely again so I thought that was it. But no bleeding again and the baby was fine. Severe cramping stopped around 5 weeks. My doctor said it was the trophoblast trying to expand in my uterus.

Im 8 weeks pregnant and I get a sore stoumach usually 4 times a day. Im unsure whether its a cramp. It feels more like a tummy bug. Im going in to see a doctor this week as I am worried.

Hello. I am 8 weeks along now from my LMP (last menstral period). This is my second pregnancy. My first being about 9 years ago. I have been having cramping and lower abdominal discomforts in the past couple of weeks that I had never experienced with my first. I do not know why, but I am almost in a panic mode that something is wrong, although I am not bleeding and know in my head that everything should be okay. I know everyone says that this is normal and that it is your uterus stretching, but I can't seem to shake this overwhelming sense of worry. This week the abdominal pain has subsided somewhat and the light cramping is off and on. I go to see my doctor this afternoon. Does anyone know for sure if she will be able to determine that everything is okay by my uterus size and can the heartbeat be heard this early? If I could know, it would be a huge relief!!

Shenise - May 31

Hello Jessica... I was told by a nurse that the baby can be seen on ultrasound after about 6 weeks... so i think you should be fine.. im not sure about the heartbeat.... i think so though..be sure to tell us what the doctor says...

Jessica - May 31

Thanks for your help! I'm not sure my doctor was going to be doing an ultrasound this early, but she did say she would do a pelvic exam. We listened for the heartbeat last week at about 7 weeks, but didn't hear anything. Maybe today. I will be sure to post what I find out. Thanks!!
