Angelmarkie - glad to hear you aren't getting the h1n1 vaccine. They are just rolling it out without having it tested, especially on pregnant women.
Also, I just heard on the news last night that those who had the regular flu shot are at an increased risk of contracting h1n1.
Plus there is the controversy that getting the regular flu shot 5 years in a row dramatically increases your susceptibility to alzheimer's disease.
all these vaccines scare me so much!!

So, I am so confused. The last thing I posted was that on Sunday the 20th I spotted and went to the ER. They only saw a abnormal gestational sac with debris and my hcg level was 9,974. Well I took another blood test 48 hours later and just got the results it is now 17,089. That is about a 70% rise. And I don't have most of my pregnancy symptoms anymore. What the heck!

It get's weirder. Went for my appt. and there is something there but the sac is oblong and there looks to be a fetus on one side and debris on the other. He said with blighted ovum's the levels do not double like mine did. He also said he's confused he's never seen this before. How comforting is that?! So, he sent me for a blood test today, and one on Saturday then I'm to go see him on Monday. He said we will make a decision then based on the blood work and another u/s. WOW....LOT'S O FUN!

Hello I am new to this site I just had my first ultra sound which says I am a few days past 5wks. This will be my second child I have a son that turns 8 on Sunday. My hcG levels were low but they seem to be ok now and doubling good also....my question is does anyone else experience really bad gas???? I feel like there is a balloon in me that keeps inflating and deflating.... my due date is May 25th.

First doctor appt tomorrow! :) Now, I just need to find someone to watch my other two children! I'm not sure what to expect, as this is my first time seeing this OB. At my last OB, the 8 week appt was just with a nurse to discuss medical history/insurance. So, we'll see what this OB does. I'm 8 weeks today! I really hope to deliver in May. My due date being May 6, I should, but my other two children both came right at a week early. I want a May baby b/c my dh's bday is in March, ds-April, Baby due May, dd-June, and my bday is in July. Just sounds cool to have our birthdays spanning every month from March-July! Then, we can plan our next babies for the other months! Though I am not so sure we're going to fill the whole calendar! :) I've enjoyed keeping up with everyone on here. cadreamer, I do hope the dr has some answers for you soon.

TriaB, that is perfectly normal to have gas like that, it's one of the more uncomfortable parts of early pregnancy. It's all good.

Hello! I had my first OB appt. yesterday. Everything looks good. She is not worried about my medical history, previous pregnancy complications, my weight (I'm heavier than ever!). It is all good; however, I guess I am considered an "old" mother-to-be. As a result, I will be referred to a Perinatologist. I will also have high resolution ultrasounds...darn! ;) I find it funny that I'm not old enough to have a mammogram, but I'm old in the pregnancy world! HaHa! (I'll be 35 in November). Well, I see the OB again in late October; she'll schedule my ultrasounds at that time. Doc. really encouraged me to get the H1N1 vaccine, but I'm still really opposed. She said that if I would happen to contract the virus, it would be devestating, so I don't know. Due to my job, I am at a higher risk due to the population of people I work with.
Cadreamer---Well, there is still hope; I am sure we will all keep you in our thoughts. Keep us updated!
Tria---yes, the gas is bad :( The gas pains are what are really getting me!
Take care all!

Hi Ladies!
I'm a little late to join in, but I guess better late than never, right?
Based off of my period I would be due May 10, but based off of the ultrasound May 14. We have been blessed this pregnancy with twins!
I am a 24 year old SAHM, and this is my 5th pregnancy. I have 3 beautiful girls that are 5, 3, and 15 months.
I'm pretty excited! I've gotten 2 ultrasounds, and both of the babies hearts are beating, which is a big relief. The twins are in seperate sacs, so most likely fraternal, although there is a chance they could be identical.
I've been exhausted basically since I found out I was pregnant, and I'm really looking foward to 14 weeks :) My stomach has already started to pouch out, much to my dismay... Are any of you guys showing yet??

cadreamer, i hope everything works out ok!
momof3, i'm showing a bit which is annoying. I'm 7 weeks and I haven't told that many people at work so it's getting harder to hide. Being ga__sy and the fact that I'm also expecting twins isn't helping. lol
At this point, I've stopped fighting it. If people suspect, they suspect. I'm unb___toning the pants and wearing loose shirts darn it!

starmay- lol... I'm past unbottoning my pants- I've been wearing some of my maternity jeans, and yoga pants. We decided to just tell everyone last week, when we found out it was twins. This will be #4 and #5 for us, so people weren't exactly shocked. That's awesome you are having twins too- and it looks like we are really close! Are your babies in seperate sacs?
cadreamer- I hope they figure out what's going on- but them definently seeing a baby is a really really good thing, and your hcg more than doubling has to be a good thing also. Maybe you had a cyst that ruptured, or something like that?

Good evening to all the lovely mommies and mommies-to-be! Hope everyone has had a satisfactory week, low on stress and high on baby excitement! Been a decent week in good ol' Arkansas minus the 2 weeks of rain. I don't have my OB appt for 2 more weeks!! I'm so anxious and nervous!! I've still been cramping with menstrual-like cramps with NO blood. That makes me nervous... To all the mommies of multiples, how awesome! That's just a ray of sunshine! cadreamer- you're in my prayers. I hope everything turns out with a happy ending. About this H1N1 vaccine, is the general audience opposed? I'm really scared by it, but I also work dispatch for a large trucking co. and am in contact with hundreds of drivers daily and I'd hate to jeopardize this blessing in one way or another. Today I'm plagued with a terrible sinus headache and sleep deprivation... thank heaven my weekend is starting now! All of you are in my thoughts and prayers and may you all have a blessed weekend with plenty of sunny days.

By the way, I am in CALIFORNIA... anyone else??
I went in for HCG testing at 5 weeks and my level was 5,656, does that sound about right?

momof3, I got pregnant through IVF and had 2 embryos transferred back in, so both must have implanted. they're both in seperate sacs. I think I'm going to have to start using the belly bands. I'm not quite at the point where I need maternity pants. At least tomorrow is Friday and I can wear jeans to work. My jeans are comfy and definitely looser than the work pants. :)
I'm very excited about my 2nd ultrasound next week! After that, I stop seeing my RE and move on to my ob/gyn. Not so excited about that. I really like my RE and wish he could be my regular doctor.
