hi girls ! adrienne, welcome ! dani, that's great news ! glad to hear the spotting has ended. first timer i also had worse cramping this time than the first time. it has subsided now but in the beginning few weeks it was much worse than before. i've told a lot of people so far actually. i kept waiting for my appts. to pa__s where i'd pa__s another milestone before i'd tell more people. today, my appt. went great. the ultrasound showed that the baby was growing 1 mm/day and is now 11.5 mm. so my chance of miscarriage is less than 1% now. so i'm thinking i can relax now. just celebrated with some thai food ! i just had it for the 1st time over the weekend and am now hooked. anyone having craving ?think i might also buy a maternity dress from old navy today. i really like it and know it will be gone when i actually need it. we're gonna be big in the summer ladies ! we have no air conditioning in our house either. my 1st was born in december so lots of layering, but now all my maternity stuff is heavy sweaters, bulky jeans, etc. that i know i won't want to wear in the summer. at least summer clothes are cheaper. a few of my friends said they were in their maternity clothes by weeks 12 or 13 on their second baby. i can't imagine that soon ! in a few weeks we will have all been to the docs and can finally stop torturing ourselves with worry !

Hello ladies. Hope everyone is doing well today. kearly: It's wonderful that your appointment went well. I still have another 2 1/2 weeks before my first appointment so my fingers are crossed until then. Also, with my second pregnancy, I was in maternity pants at 9 weeks. I was really little then and it seemed like my belly just started to poke out overnight. This time around my pants are already getting snug and I'm only 7 1/2 weeks. We'll see...

Kearly; that is wonderful news glad to hear everything is going well! you are due sept 3rd still right? I am due sept 8th so we are very close. I am going to have my first appt this thrusday. I had all my bloodwork and prenantal screening done at the clinic. Mandersmom; I am right behind you at 7 weeks! how are you feeling?

first-timer - January 20

Today was a good day. I did some reading last night on the internet and read the suggestion of drinking lots of water to help with cramping and so today I drank a lot of water and not a single cramp. YEAH! I also had less nausea today as well. Today is officially four weeks for me. I did/do have the burny achy b___bs today. I actually walked outside into the hallway of my cla__sroom to ma__sage my b___bs they were that uncomfortable. Rosenow: I teach in Kitchener --- Waterloo Region DSB. Glad that things are finally working out for you and your husband and you are now preggers. It is so exciting.

rosenow: I'm nauseous for most of the day. It's weird because I'm usually okay when I wake up but as soon as I eat something, that's when it starts. And for some reason, the smell the food I feed my cats is the grossest thing ever. I tend to get morning sickness pretty bad and I had to be put on meds the last two times. Other than that, I'm very tired and moody. What about you?

Hi Everyone, Had my first OB appt. yesterday and everything went great. I am seven weeks and saw the heartbeat on the ultrasound! Am going back in a month . . .

Mandersmm - January 20

hsuz: I'm so glad that your appointment went well. Seeing the little heartbeat is so cool. I'm so jealous of you and kearly :)

Mandersmm- Is your significant other putting up a fuss to having to clean the kitty litter now? Mine is...I told him to stop complaining and just do it.

Mandersmm - January 20

first-timer: We have 6 cats and multiple litter boxes. Trying to get him to change the litter is like pulling teeth - but he really doesn't have a choice.

oh && manders, im with ya on the mood swings. i just know my fiance hates me about now. but hes a sweetie, just grins and bears it. lol my mother (super grouchy) even told me i was being too hard on him earlier. i've been totally exhusted as well. and can't keep NOTHING down. i read that if you get sick alot, its a girl. anyone know if theres truth behind that? i sure hope so. :)

fismama - January 21

daniibabii2010: SO the whole morning sickness thing I think is a myth but I was super sick with my daughter like I would never make it to the toilet in time, it was bad, My sister was the same way with her first and even worse but with her second it wasn't as bad she has to girls...and then a friend of mine was so sick she basicly slept in the bath room, she couldn't even keep water down she had 2 boys..so it all depends on you...this time I haven't really thrown up but have been sickly all day long..no joke..doc told me to try b6 am & pm and unison (I would ask your doc about those before use) and also "sea bands" they do hurt your wrist but I have felt really well and I dont even care that it hurts, so if it gets to bad try those, and if it gets worse tell your doc! and good luck!!

Hi Ladies - for the last 2 weeks I've had this HORRIBLE metallic taste in my mouth that won't go away. Toothbrushing and mouthwash help minimally. Citrus - lemonade, orange juicse helps somewhat. It's worse than my nausea (which isn't that bad). Anyone else dealing with this?

Lia - January 21

Hey girls- I FEEL HORRIBLE! 1st off I have the flu and morning sickness has set in. I've thrown up everyday since Saturday. I'm dizzy, light-headed and all I want to do is lay horizontal. This is my 4th pregnancy and they were are pretty bad in the beginning. I just forgot how bad. I don't know if I can keep this up at work not to mention following my two little ones around at home. UGH!!!!!!!!! [Ok that is me screaming] I need some relief and soon.

Mandersmm - January 21

daniibabii2010: I had terrible morning sickness with my first two pregnancies and I wound up having two boys. I haven't thrown up yet this time but I'm pretty nauseous.

fismama - January 21

Lia: try "sea bands" they are helping and I swear it works when I take them off I get super sick again and they are safe...I have to wear them until just before I fall a sleep! try that it doesn't take long to start working either!
