Tilted Uterus

I had a sonogram at 8 weeks, no problem *mind you with enough water to sink a boat* If they have trouble, they'll do a trans v____al scan. I'm carrying lower than most people I know, don't know whether that's related or not... from what I understand, after your uterus get's a little bigger, it kind of plops forward like everyone elses (my belly seemed to pop out dramatically over a week or so after not showing for 14 weeks) In the few weeks before I "popped" I did have extreme pressure in my pelvis, with heamrrhoids and pain and some trouble emptying my bladder, but as far as I know, a tilted uterus is not a medical issue but a variation of the normal

I have a tilted uterus and I had my first ultrasound at 16 weeks and we were able to see the baby very well. I also carried my son full term, he was born at 39 weeks and 3 days pregnant.

I just went for my first u/s, I'm supposed to ge 7 weeks 4 days. They said i only look about 5 weeks, they couldn't see the gestational yolk or the fetal pole. I know that my uterus is tilted and hope this is why! They were training the gut who was doing it. I don't know if they realized my uterus is tilted. I have to go back for another one next week. Hope they find the baby then! Pam

I was able to see my baby at 6 weeks gestation. The doctor says that having a tilted uterus doesn't affect anything.

My aunt had the same problem. After the first one it corrects itself. Not sure about anything else. It is nothing to worry about. Not sure about the ultr-sound.

Since I have a tilted Uterus will that make it hard for me to feel the baby kick during my pregnancy?

I have a retro flipped uterus and it is very normal as i see it. I could see my baby when I was 5 weeks. I did experience spotting after intercourse but that could be my body also. I didn't have any issues with it besides when I was 5 weeks I was at the ER and they couldn't see the baby and that it was an "empty sac". That following Monday I went to my doctor and she pointed the baby out.

I just found out at my first ultra sound that my uterus was tilted back I was 12weeks then . that's why I couldn't hear the heart beat at 10 weeks. By reading all these answers it sounds like there is nothing to worry about. We are very excited it is our first I am about 13 weeks now.

I didn't have a tilted uterus with my first pregnancy, but have had nothing but trouble with this one. Apparently it tilted and fell back into the cul-de-sac in my pelvis and started pressing on my urethra at around 9 weeks. I started having trouble urinating and eventually couldn't. My bladder got way stretched out and now I am sitting here 12 weeks pregnant with a catheter that I have to have in for a week! If you can't pee ladies, see your doctor sooner rather than later. You could get bladder damage.

I have had 4 pregnancies and just found out my uterus is tilted during an ultrasound. Never was told before. Didn't have any ultrasounds before the 8th week of pregnancy either so I don't know it would affect picking it up in the very early weeks.
