Hmm! Is that date based on a FIRST TRIMESTER ultrasound which is accurate to withn a few days, or is it based on when you said you had your last good period? I guess it is possible for a technician or a doctor to make a mistake while using the calendar - go back and ask for them to check their calculation. If that is a true due date, you got pregnant from s_x the beginning of July. It did not have to be full penetration, just a little sperm on the v____a. Did you have a normal period in the last half of July?

they based it on my last period. didnt even ask when i last had s_x or even if my periods were regular and happen every 28 days, which they dont. so im guessing that that could also affect the date when im suppose to be due. there is no chnace that i could have got pregnant before the 8th July as i had not had s_x for a long time before then. its causing problems between me and my partner so i just need some rea__surance that atually they could have made a mistake

i have also heard that if your getting your date according to the conception date then do it by 38 weeks not 40 beacuse doin it by period is 2weeks more than actual conception.. is this true?

The confusion arises from the 40 week / 38 week difference. A due date of 27 March corresponds with a last menstrual period starting June 21st and ovulation July 5th, all based on a 28 day cycle. July 8th would simply say you were fixing to have a 31 day cycle, or that you ovulated a few days late. Tell your partner to quiet his fears. He will be a proud father four months from now. Curses on the National Health Service for not being more explicit!

Yeah thats right it was a 31 day cycle (could even be more) instead of the normal 28 days. So does this mean that he can be the father of my baby according to what you have said? I mean i know he is for a fact, no doubt in my mind, what i mean is will this be the type of like proof he needs to believe me that it is possible to be his baby even though the dates make out i got pregnany before we even had s_xual intercourse? Sorry to go on a bit, just want to make sure that i completely understand what it is your saying to me.

Exactly. If you would both study up on the menstrual cycle, given the due date, you would figure out that July 8th was the day you ovulated, and the most likely to get pregnant. That he is not willing to accept your word makes me wonder what kind of a partner he would make long term. Best of luck!
