After reading all these posts i realise that i am having a simualr situation. I just found out a week n 1/2 ago that i am pregnant. This will be my 6 th pregnancy, but I have mia__scarried two in the past. But at that point i didnt know I was even pregnant until my dr. had told me that I had misscarried. I have estimated that i am around 6-8 weeks pregnant. I have never experienced morning sickness with my other pregnancys so I dont know if that is what I am going through now. It started two nights ago. It almost felt like I was constipated, so i went to the bathroom and then nothing happend but the pains in my stomach were getting more intense. The next thing I knew the bathroom was spinning and i bracing my self against the wall fighting to stay conscious. I broke out in a cold sweat and had tears rolling down my face even though I wasnt crying. This lasted about 20 minutes and then slowly went away. I went straight to bed and went to sleep. then when I woke in the morning i wasnt in pain but mys stomach just felt "off", Then again last night I got the same feeling of being constapated and rushed to bathroom and agina nothing happened, i didnt get all spinny this time but the paind returned in my stomach and the were getting pretty bad and again it lasted about 20 minutes and again i went to bed and went to sleep. Early this morning I had s_x with my husband and noticed when i went to the washroom that i was lightly bleeding, and I was feeling "off" again. Right now I am not bleeing or spinning, or in any pain just still have that "off" feeling. I have no idea what this is or if it is possiable thats its just morning sickness at night. I bleed alot in my last pregnancy but everything turned out fine and now i have a healthy happy almost 5 month old baby girl. Could that be the problem? being pregnant so soon after giving birth??

kym - April 6

I started to bleed lightly 2 days ago. Yestarday i went to the doctor because i was cramping too. He said that my pregnancy might not have taken. Does anyone know what that means? i should be about 4-5 weeks.

a pregnancy "not taking" means that your egg was fertilized by a sperm but it didn't attach to your uterus wall like it should. in that case, you will miscarry :(... but keep your hopes up that your baby will stick to your uterus.. i'm sort of going through the same thing because my hcg levels are low. can you take a blood test and see where your hcg count is??

I"m supposedly in my 6th week of pregnancy with my 1st baby, i called my OBGYN as soon as I found out that I was preg. she couldn't see my until i was 8 weeks preg. I've been spotting since a week after my home pregnancy test came out positive. It started as pink and now it's brown, yesterday and today it's getting heavier but it's still brown. I am VERY worried. I called my dr and they moved my appt up by a week. I still cannot wait another week go see her. Should I got to the hospital just to ease my nerves. but it sounds like everyone just has to wait and wait and wait. I'm really scared. Should I just wait to see the doctor? Please any advise will help.

For all you ladies, who experience this I wish you all the best and hope that evrything turns out positive. I had a miscarriage Oct 7 2004. It started with really bad cramps , then light pinkish to brownish bleeding, then red blood like a normal bleeding. Trust me when your having a miscarriage there nothing to do but wait. I cried eveytime I went to the rest room and saw blood durning that time , I know that some women bleed with no problems. My girlfriend spotted durning her first four months and had a prefect little girl. All the best and good luck

Denver Girl - April 9

I am a little over 9 weeks (gestation) pregnant now. 6 weeks into my pregnancy, I was cramping painfully but not so much where I couldn't stand-up. About 30 minutes after the cramping, I had a rush of bright red blood that lasted for about 2 hours. Enough blood to fill a heavy pad, but no tissue or clots. Then the bleeding slowed down to just a little spotting. Since I was out of town at the time, I waited 2 days before having an ultrasound. The utlrasound showed the baby's heart was still beating, and that I had not miscarried. Five days later, the exact same thing happened, except this time I pa__sed a little stringy tissue. I didn't go in for an ultrasound just yet. Another five days later, I was again bleeding bright red blood but this time there was no cramping. However, I pa__sed what I thought was the baby but it turned out to be a blood clot. They did another ultrasound and showed that the baby's heart was still beating and at a normal rate. The doctor told me she believes my fibroid tumor, located right below my uterus, was causing the bleeding but couldn't be 100% sure. My fibroid tumor grows with my pregnancy and right now it's the size of a canteloupe. Well, I was waiting for the bleeding to start up again five days later, but it didn't. I was so happy until 2 days after that, I did start bleeding but this time the bleeding was a dark brown color. I was also pa__sing some bits and pieces of stringy tissue. No cramping though. I called the doctor's office and they think it could be my uterus lining just shedding some old blood. They said if the bleeding becomes heavy and bright, with major cramps, to call for an ultrasound. Each time I've bled, I think I've miscarried and each time it has proven untrue. I did have a miscarriage 3 years ago, at only 6 weeks into the pregnancy. It was extremely painful, and I could not stand-up. There was a large tissue that pa__sed which was the baby. Because I haven't experience that with this pregnancy so far, I don't believe I've miscarried yet. Anyway, I'll continue to post my progress. Also, if you are bleeding and pregnant, make sure you get enough iron. My doctor drew my blood and said my blood count was way too low because of all the bleeding I've been having. So, not only do I take my prenatal vitamins everyday, I now have to take iron pills. For everyone who is questioning if they miscarried or not, there is no one answer. It's different for each individual. So the best advice I have is to go see your doctor and get tests/ultrasounds done.

i am 12 weeks pregnant and started bleeding the other day, some of it was light pink and then it turned a brownish color, when i went to see my doctor i got so upset because she said i might be misscarriaging, i didn't know if that was possible being i had just had an ultra sound the day before and they told me everything looked great, she made me very upset. i hope i'm okay. Anyone else bleed at 12 weeks???

Mary - April 18

I have had a very similar situation. I began bleeding heavily (red blood) at 10 weeks. I went into the doctor and he did an ultrasound and baby was fine. (yet he did not know why that happened.) Then, a few days ago, (at 15 weeks) I started bleeding brown blood. I went into the ER, they found the baby's heartbeat and sent me on my way. Just last night, I bled again (brown blood). I am going into the doctor tomarow to make sure everything is alright. From what they have told me, as long as blood isn't accompanied by cramping, baby is probably ok. Yet, it is still very difficult not to worry. ER doctor told me that bleeding very often is due to intercoase (even if you do not beed until 2 or 3 days later.) I wish you all the best.

Shawna - April 22

This is my first pregnancy. I am 13 weeks and having many of the same things happen as a lot of others. I had some brown discharge at 7 weeks - no cramping. Last week I went for the 12 week appt and the OB couldn't hear the heartbeat, but she told me she can only hear it at this stage about 50% of the time. She said in another week she would be able to hear it almost 100%. I have been having the brown discharge for about 2 and a half days now. A couple of times it was red. I should say that up to this point it has only been on the toilet paper, but at the same time I am going to the bathroom every 30 - 60 minutes to check things out. No real cramping, but every now and then I feel something - not really cramps. The worst part of the whole thing is that I am driving myself crazy. I know that if something is happening there is nothing they can do, this might sound cold, but I want to know what is going on 1 way or the other!!!! My doctor is not in the office until Monday so unless something gets worse I guess I will have to wait until then. To everyone that has left a comment I want to say thanks - it is nice to know that I am not the only one going a bit crazy while this is going on.

Karen - April 22

Just want to say that my heart goes out to each and everyone of you. The experience od a miscarraige was the worst in my entire life and I would not wish for any women to ever experience that. The wait is the worst, although I knew what was happening I was in great denial just remembering the whole thing makes me cry. But there is a ray of hope for all of us who has been there. I am now in my second trimester and things are going great I saw my little one on wednesday getting bigger and beauiful. Although you may feel (as I did) that it will not happen again have faith and it will. My doc also told me that it is not uncommon for some women to have a miscarriage then go on to have normal healthy pregnancies and babies. My prays are with you all. Take care

Jennifer - April 22

I just found out Wednesday that I'm about 10 1/2 weeks pregnant. I didn't have a clue, but I went to the Health Department because I have felt funny but wasn't sure. I have had light spotting when I wipe and I called the nurse and she said that it's fine. My first "official" doctor's appointment is on the 27th. Am I okay?
