Can I Still Get Pregnant After I Ovulate

I got my period on the 18th of may and it ended on the 25th of may.I was told that you start to ovualate the very first day of your period. and that you ovulate for 7 to 10 days, which means that I was done ovulateing on 27th of may. can I still get pregnant after that time?

I think you were told wrong. Ovulation usually takes place 14 days after the first days of your period (also 14 days before your next) The eggcell only lives for 48 hours, in which it must be fertilised, or it dies. Sperm can live inside you for 4 days. So actually the only days you can get pregnant is from day 11 till day 15 after your period. There are exeptions though, but you do most definately do not start ovulating during your menstrual cycle, and ovulation only lasts 2 days
