Hi! How do you count the cycle day correctly? i thought i understood it right but after reading several forums, i got a bit confused.
I had my last period dec 4, and my doctor's assitant told me to start using opk on cycle day 10 and she said if i had my period dec 4, that will be the starting day 1 and count from there and she said so that means that counting from dec 4 will be 1 for dec 5, 2 for dec 6 and so on so she said my cycle day 10 is dec 14.
i had to take clomid 50mg on my cycle days 3-7 and i ahd my period dec31 so following her counting instructions, i took clomid on jan 3. but reading some forums and asking around, people say my cycle 3 is jan 2 and the counting should be counting the 1st day of my period as cycle 1 the next day as cycle two.
which is the correct way to count? i'm worried now i counted wrong and took clomid on the wrong day.
thanks.

I never stopped to worry about this, but I guess your nurse is right. Look at it this way: If you have a 28 day cycle you expect your period to start on the same day of the week each month. If your period starts Jan 1, the same day next week is Jan 8 (CD7)and the same day of the week a month hence is Jan 29th (CD28). I bet for your pill regime it does not make a significant difference.
