Hi, I'm 18 I recently had a yeast infection and a UTI. Once I recovered I had unprotected s_x with my boyfriend ( which was 2 days ago)... That just so happened to be the day before my cycle was suppose to begin. My cycle usually comes on every 20 days but this time it didn't. He did NOT c_m because we kept stopping but my period is now one day late (was suppose to come on yesterday) I'm worried so I wanted to take a Plan B pill, will it still be 100% affective even though my period didn't come on but it's still within the 72 hour window? What are the possibilities of me being pregnant? I'm really scared!

Two days before your period is usually way past ovulation and the chance of pregnancy (CD14). A 20 day cycle is real short - almost too short for a chance of pregnancy. The meds and stress of your infections may have delayed things. I think it is highly unlikely that you are getting pregnant. PlanB is only 75% effective under the best of circ_mstances, and the effectiveness decreases the longer you wait. The best advice I can offer is to talk to your boyfriend about good contraception going forward - you are going to need it. GL!

I'm bleeding very lightly and having slight cramping now.. I took a test yesterday and it was negative, do you think I took the test too early?

If you are getting pregnant from s_x July 8th, any test before July 22nd would likely be too early. Your period is likely starting and you can quit worrying until your next misadventure. GL!
