If i usually get my period every six weeks, will a pregnancy test pick up anything if i take it after four weeks a my first period? Or should i just wait untill the time i usually get my period? I also want to know asap if i am or not pregnant. I need some advice, please.

Most over-the-counter preg. tests will pick up large amounts of the preg. hormone HCG. Usually, it takes approx. 2 weeks after conception for enough of the HCG hormone to be in your urine and be detected. So you haven't actually missed your period, right? You can purchase "early preg. tests" that will detect lower amounts of the HCG hormone, but they don't always pick the hormone up "early". You can also go see a doctor and have a blood test done. This is more expensive, but it provides a definite answer no matter how early the preg. may be. I think I would just wait it out and if you miss your period, just take a home preg. test.
