Late Period 4 Day Spotting

i was 2 days late for my period the started spotting which lasted (on and off + extremely lightly) for 4 days.
This wendsday will be 2 weeks since the spotting started (today will mean 2 weeks late) and I have the light pinkish discharge again and the pregnancy test I did on Friday morning was negative.
I have only once been pregnant before but that ended in an early miscarriage.

A negative test when ten days late and no list of other early pregnancy signs makes pregnancy unlikely. Did the light period start on schedule?

I have had the flu so haven't really focused on pregnancy symptoms just the very light pinkish discharge was very unusual and as I said before i now have discharg again (was pinkish yesterday brown and thicker today)
mid not pregnancy what else could it be?
