Ok- How exactly do you know if you've had a miscarriage?

there are several type, theres an onset with very heavy bleeding and very bad pain, then there can be light bleeding (like a peroid) and cramps or what i had "missed miscarriage", i had a very light pink spot after going pee and nothing else, ultrsound confirmed the baby had died 2 weeks prior

when i found out i was pregnant for the first time i was seen by a nurse who said everything seemed fine,even though i told her i was bleeding and had light cramps almost like a period.then about a week later the bleeding hadn't stopped and the cramps got much worse so i went into hospital where the ultrasound confirmed there was no baby in my uterus,i had just experienced a miscarriage without realising it.these are the signs, from what i know.hope it helps.
